Espejo sa BI, tablado sa Palasyo

IKINAILA ng Malacañang ang ulat na itinalaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., si Atty. Abraham Espejo bilang bagong commissioner ng Bureau of Immigration (BI).

“No appointment has yet been made to the position of Immigrations Commissioner,” sabi ni Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles sa isang kalatas kahapon.

“We have confirmed with the Presidential Management Staff (PMS) – – which conducts complete staff work on such issuance – – that no document for the said position has been issued,” dagdag niya.

Kumalat kahapon ang kopya ng umano’y appointment paper ni Espejo bilang bagong BI chief na may petsang 22 Hulyo 2022.

Si Espejo ay  dating dean ng College of Law ng New Era University na pagmamay-ari ng Iglesia ni Cristo (INC).

Nagsilbi si Espejo bilang abogado ni dating President Joseph Estrada at Mandaluyong City Mayor Benjamin Abalos nang siya’y Commission on Elections (Comelec) chairman. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
