Mike Defensor, maraming plano sa pagiging City of Stars ng Quezon City

MARAMING napapanahon at magagandang plano si Cong. Mike Defensor para sa Quezon City kapag nahalal na mayor nito.

Si Rep. Mike na kasalukuyang kinatawan ng ANAKalusugan Partylist, ang leading mayoralty candidate ng QC at Vice mayor niya si Winnie Castelo.

Isa sa naitanong sa kanya nang nakaharap niya ang mga taga-entertainment media ang dream noon ni Master Showman German Moreno na maging City of Stars ang QC.

Iginiit ni Cong, Mike na desidido siyang isakatuparan ang pagiging City of Stars ng Quezon City. Kabilang sa nabanggit ni Cong Mike ang pagtatayo ng Eco-Tourism Center, Museum of Stars, mas pinalakas na Quezon City Film Festival, at iba pa.

Aniya, “Definitely, we will have to address iyan, that we really have to establish Quezon City as an Eco-Tourism center.

“Definitely sa showbiz set up, we have to develop that, na we are the Hollywood of the Philippines at kailangan tayong mag-take advantage riyan. Magtayo tayo ng museums, magtayo tayo sa mga areas na let’s say sa mismong mga stations like GMA-7, ABS CBN, and even TV5 na nasa Novaliches… na mayroong areas na mapupuntahan iyong mga tao, makikita nila at mao-observe.”

Pagpapatuloy ni Cong. Mike, “Mayroon tayo sa Eastwood na Walk of Fame… and definitely iyong Museum of the Stars, we have to put up in QC. Hihingin ko po ang tulong ninyo na magkaroon ng Quezon City Films Fetival, na dapat dito naman dahil nandito na ang lahat at dito rin nakatira ‘yung mga artista natin.

“Ito ho ‘yung mga bagay na kailangan nating i-develop sa city natin. Sinabi ko na rati ‘yung ating eco-parks, ‘yung Parks and Wildlife sa La Mesa Eco-Dam, we take advantage of Quezon Memorial Circle dahil ito po ay historical site at landmark site ng Quezon City.

“We have to take advantage of the China Town of Quezon City, we take advantage of the Lechon Capital of the Philippines, which is La Loma. We take advantage of the Auto Center of the Philippines, which is Banaue. And one of the most important, is we have to take advantage of Quezon City being a showbiz center. Tayo ho ayusin natin iyan, and we would need the support and help, the minds of all of you, iyong mga nandito pong mga manunulat, on how we can develop Quezon City as the center of showbiz, just like what they have in Hollywood in the United States.”
