MAGPAKA-DOKTOR at tumulong sa paggamot sa mga kapwa Filipino na sinasalanta ng CoVid-19 imbes takutin at insultuhin ang health workers, na nagnanais makasingil sa gobyerno dahil hindi binabayrana ang kanilang mga benepisyo.
Hamon ito ng Alliance of Health Workers (AHW) kay National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-Elcac) spokesperson at Communications Undersecretary Lorraine Badoy na nag-akusa sa grupo na isa umano sa mga binuong grupo ng Communist Party of the Philippines – New People’s Army – National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) para mag-infiltrate sa gobyerno.
“Instead of addressing and supporting the call of health workers, she managed to red-tagged us. This is very unbecoming and unprofessional of a medical doctor like her. We call on USEC Dr. Lorraine Badoy to concentrate and pay attention in her duty as a doctor of medicine to take care and treat her countrymen who are afflicted by CoVid infection instead of intimidating and insulting her fellow health workers,” ayon sa kalatas ng AHW.
Si Badoy ay isang skin doctor na unang itinalaga sa administrasyong Duterte bilang undersecretary sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), inilipat bilang undersecretary sa Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) at naging concurrent spokesperson sa NTF-ELCAC.
Hinimok ng AHW, ang Civil Service Commission (CSC), at Ombudsman na sampahan ng kaso si Badoy sa pagtawag sa kanilang organisasyon na prente ng komunistang grupo.
Giit ng AHW, malisyoso at iresponsable ang pahayag ni Badoy at sinisira ang kredibilidad nila bilang isang lehitimong grupo ng health workers sa bansa.
“We strongly urge the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the Ombudsman to conduct a motu proprio investigation and act promptly on Usec. Lorraine Badoy for Grave Misconduct and Conduct Grossly Prejudicial to the Best Interest of the Service and violation of the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Government Officials and Employees,” pahayag ng AHW.
“We firmly maintain that our organization was established and exists within the framework of legal, constitutional and democratic grounds. We never promote terrorism,” dagdag niya.
Ang bisyong red-tagging ni Badoy ay taliwas anila sa pahayag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na kinikilala ang health workers bilang mga bayani sa digmaan laban sa CoVid-19.
