During the lockdown, Phoebe had an offer to shoot in France an international movie with an American director, and she would be one of the lead actresses.
At any rate, she had to decline the offer for it required nudity and she didn’t feel like this was the right project to do that.
Phoebe was able to do frontal nudity in a movie by way of the director’s cut of Seklusyon that’s why a lot of people are raising an eyebrow why the decision not to do this supposedly international movie.
At any rate, hindi naman nawalan ng ginagawa si Phoebe when the enforced quarantine was imposed in Luzon last March 15, 2020 simply because she was able to open her own chili business. She made chili garlic sauce in three varieties.
Right after na matapos ang ECQ sa Metro Manila, a new movie project came along. Ito ‘yung “Parang Kayo Pero Hindi,” which had a lock-in shoot in Alaminos, Pangasinan.
Kylie Verzosa, Marco Gumabao, and Xian Lim co-starred with Phoebe in this movie that was her first acting assignment for the year 2020.
In this movie, she plays the role of Emily who falls in love with Joaquin (Xian Lim) but is not loved in return.
“I particularly enjoyed playing this role because I’ve been asking for rom-com projects for a long time because I find this very relatable.
“Also, lahat ng hugot dito ni Emily ramdam na ramdam ko, channelling of course my own disappointments and that of those close to me.
“Ganda ng mga linyahan dito and ang ganda ng pagkasulat. Hoping I can play more relatable characters like this.”
