UP-OCTA sinaway ng Palasyo

IMBES kilalanin, nais pigilan ng Palasyo ang mga eksperto mula sa University of the Philippines (UP) sa pagsasapubliko ng kanilang mga suhestiyon kaugnay sa pandemic lockdowns at ‘ibulong’ na lamang ito sa mga awtoridad.

Ang OCTA Research, ay isang grupo ng independent researchers mula sa UP at University of Sto. Tomas na nagsasagawa ng pag-aaral sa pandemyang CoVid-19 sa Filipinas.

Ayon kay Roque, isa o dalawang epidemiologist lamang ang nasa OCTA kompara sa maraming eksperto na bahagi ng IATF.

“I wish they would refrain from making these recommendations publicly. They can probably endorse or course their recommendations privately to the IATF, nang hindi naman po napapangunahan, highlighting the fact that classifications are normally announced by no less than the President himself,” ani Roque sa virtual Palace press briefing kahapon.

“If the IATF itself does not make public its recommendations to the President, sana the OCTA team — and this is really an appeal para hindi nagkakagulo – can also course their recommendations to the IATF privately,” sabi ni Roque.

Ang pahayag ni Roque ay bilang tugon sa rekomendasyon ng OCTA kamakailan na ilagay ang ilang bahagi ng Bauan, Batangas; Calbayog, Western Samar; at General Trias, Cavite sa ilalim ng mas mahigpit na lockdown. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
