Esplika ni Ms. Faye, “Vilma Santos has a superb acting skills. She’s one of the few actresses who has a heart to serve the people.”
If bibigyan ng chance, gusto rin ba niyang pumasok sa politika at maging isang public servant tulad ng idol niya?
Wika ni Ms. Faye, “It would be an honor, my desire to be a politician is not wanting for power, greed or money but to make a difference and improve people’s lives.”
Samantala, sobrang happy ni Ms. Faye sa recognition na natamo nang tanghalin siyang Best Supporting Actress sa Oniros Film Awards sa Italy para sa pelikulang Tutop. Ayon sa kanya, hindi halos siya makapaniwala sa natamong acting award.
“It’s overwhelming! I couldn’t believe I got the award!” masayang sabi niya.
Dagdag ng aktres/businesswoman, “Well, actually to be chosen as one of the finalist is already an honor for me. But God is indeed great! His blessings went leaps and bounds. I’m so grateful!”
Ang Tutop ay tinatampukan ng actor/director/producer na si Romm Burlat. Tampok din sa pelikula ang Bidaman finalist na si Ron Macapagal. Ang director nito ay si Marvin Gabas at ito ay produced ng ROMMantic Entertainment Productions.
Nagpahayag ng panghihinayang si Ms. Faye dahil hindi niya personal na nakuha ang kanyang award dito bunsod ng mapaminsalang COVID-19.
“The award giving body which is the Oniros Film awards is from St. Vincent, Italy. I would love to get my award personally but it’s not possible due to our global health threat right now,” esplika ni Ms. Faye.
Inusisa namin ang kanyang role rito.
Tugon niya, “I played the mean sister of Ron Macapagal. I’m a prostitute and a victim of a crime sa movie’ng ito.”
Paano siya nag-prepare sa role na prostitute? “Uhm, our director is my mentor. He’s a great help
with my acting skills,” maikling sambit niya.
Pang-ilang movie na niya ang Tutop? “Bale, ito ‘yung second movie ko. Iyong una ay ang Bakit Nasa Huli Ang Simula with Ron (Macapagal) sa isang May-December affair. Tinatampukan din ang movie nina William Martinez, Lance Raymundo, at iba pa.”
Bukod sa pelikulang Tutop at Bakit Nasa Huli Ang Simula, ang susunod na aabangang project kay Ms. Faye ay ang bagong movie with Direk Romm Burlat titled And I Loved Her.
Magiging co-star dito ni Ms. Faye sina Richard Quan, Teresa Loyzaga, Ron Macapagal, Keanna Reeves, Rez Cortez, at iba pa. Introducing sa pelikula ang talented na batang si Zairah Madrid na nakabase sa Canada.
Nalaman din namin sa kanya na may natitira pa silang ilang shooting days para sa And I Loved Her, ngunit dahil sa COVID-19 ay nabalam ang kanilang pelikula.
“We were not able to finish some scenes due to the global health threat. Hopefully, we can finish it after the COVID scare,” saad pa ni Ms. Faye.
