No deployment ban sa Kuwait — Duterte

HINDI magpapatupad ng total deployment ban sa Kuwait si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kahit ginahasa at pinatay ng kanyang employer ang isang Pinay overseas worker.

Sinabi ng Pangulo sa panayam sa ABS-CBN kamakalawa na iba ang sitwasyon ngayon kompara sa mga naka­lipas na taon dahil mabilis ang pag-aksiyon ng mga awtoridad sa Kuwait at agad na dinakip ang employers ni Jeanalyn Villavende.

“You know the situation is quite dif­ferent. The police autho­rities in Kuwait acted swiftly and they have arrested the spouses,” sabi ni Pangulong Duterte.

“Kita mo naman, there were arrest made and there is an inves­tigation going on and apparently justice is being done. I’m not really keen on moving people out,” dagdag niya.

Nauna rito’y inihayag ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III na ipinanukala ni Labor Attache Nasser Mustafa  na magpatupad ng partial deployment ban sa Kuwait dahil sa sinapit ni Villavende.
