PUWEDENG madiskalipika habambuhay sa gobyerno si Vice President Leni Robredo kapag ibinahagi ang mga “classified information” sa mga dayuhan.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo, ipinaaalala ng Palasyo kay Robredo na isang krimen ang pagbabahagi ng mga sekreto ng estado sa mga dayuhan at mga organisasyon ay isang krimen batay sa Article 229 ng Revised Penal Code.
Giit ni Panelo, isa sa mga parusa sa nasabing krimen ay habambuhay na diskalipikasyon sa gobyerno.
Ang pahayag ng Palasyo ay kasunod nang paghingi ni Robredo sa lahat ngdokumento at impormasyon kaugnay sa isinusulong na drug war ng administrasyong Duterte.
“Revealing State secrets to foreign individuals and entities as well as welcoming those who have trampled the country’s sovereignty would be damaging to the welfare of the Filipino people, not to mention that under Article 229 of the Revised Penal Code, such revelation of privileged information is a crime which has perpetual special disqualification from office, among its penalties,” ani Panelo.
Nauna rito’y nagbabala si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na baka sibakin niya si Robredo bilang drug czar dahil sa pag-iimbita sa mga personalidad mula sa United Nations na tinawag ang Filipinas na “murderous country” at nanawagan sa pag-aresto sa Punong Ehekutibo.
Binigyan diin ni Panelo na welcome pa kay Robredo maging ang prosecutor ng ‘rejected’ Rome Statute International Criminal Court (ICC).
Warning ni Panelo kay Robredo, maaaring ibang landas ang tinatahak ni Robredo at lumalabis sa itinakdang kapangyarihan niya bilang drug czar.
“She may not realize it but she could be treading on dangerous grounds. It could be an overreach of the granted authority hence the reminder,” dagdag ni Panelo.
“Any appointment made by the appointing authority must be exercised strictly in accord with law and never diametrically opposed to the interest and security of the State,” ani Panelo.
Matatandaan, sinabi ni Robredo na kakausapin niya ang Amerika at UN para maging maayos ang kampanya kontra illegal drugs sa Filipinas.
