Duterte sinibak si PRRC Executive Director Goitia

SINIBAK ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Jose Antonio E. Goitia bilang Executive Director ng Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC).

Sa kalatas ay sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo na ang pagsibak kay Goitia ay alinsunod sa kampanya ng administrasyon laban sa korupsiyon.

“The termination is made pursuant to the President’s continuing mandate to eradicate graft and corruption, and to ensure that public officials and employees conduct themselves in a manner worthy of public trust,” ani Panelo.

Ayon kay Panelo, hindi nagustohan ng Pangulo ang mga sum­bong na pango­ngolekta ng PRRC sa mga nego­syante at pamamalitang itata­laga si Goitia bilang Customs commissioner.

Inatasan si Goitia na isumite ang lahat ng hawak niyang opisyal na dokumento sa Office of the Deputy Executive Director for Finance and Administrative Services ng Commission.

“We hope that this shall serve as another example that this Administration does not — and will never — tolerate corrupt practices in the bureaucracy and in public service,” dagdag ni Panelo.
