Fil-Am Hollywood actor na si Ryan Kolton, susubok sa showbiz sa ‘Pinas

MALAKI ang potential ng Fil-Am Hollywood actor na si Ryan Kolton para magkaroon ng career sa Filipinas. Hilig talaga ni Ryan ang umarte, katunayan noong nag-aaral pa siya sa UCLA ay may mga nagawa na siyang mga proyekto tulad ng Jay Rocco, Past Presence, at Compound 147. Nakalabas na rin si Ryan sa Blue Bloods, CSI, Law and Order, at iba pang shows sa Tate, at umaasa siyang magkakaroon ng mga proyekto sa Filipinas.

Halo-halo ang dugo ni Ryan, dahil ayon sa kanya, “I’m Ukrainian, Spanish, American, Filipino… So, I just got here. I just started learning Tagalog pero naintindihan ko. I know Spanish, Russian, Filipino and English… so Tagalog is gonna be the fifth language… it’s quite the process.”

Patuloy pa niya, “My Lola, she’s from here, from Laguna area. So, naturally I grew up with a lot of stories about the Philippines and I loved it. You know, everything from the culture, the people, the way of life here, it’s the things that I’ve always wanted to experience myself.

“So, while I was working in the US and also in Russia-cause I did acting and modelling around the world, I was slowly planning on coming and visiting the Philippines. At last, it was until like two and a half months ago, I received a really great offer that I couldn’t refuse and I finished my show in the US. So, I was like this is the perfect time. So, I jumped on the first plane and the minute that I landed, I was already working with Robinson in Mossimo, I did a campaign with SM, I went into Metro Gaisano.”

Nabanggit ni Ryan ang iba pa niyang pinagdaanan sa buhay bago napadpad sa bansa. “I sing, I’ve danced before, I professionally danced when I was younger. I used to sing a lot as well. My back­ground actually is very dif­ferent as well ‘cause I grew up as professional MMA fighter. I’m retired now. Yeah, full MMA, I’m trained in six different styles, and I have a blackbelt in each one. When I was in Los Angeles, that’s when I started my acting/modelling career and it brought me here,” mahabang saad ng Tom Cruise look-alike na si Ryan.
