I have this feeling that veteran actress Nova Villa would be proud the very moment she gets to know that their movie Miss Granny has already reached the P120 million mark. Said movie is considered the turning point of her 54-year old acting career.
Nova is melting with gratitude for the break and opportunity that she’s been given.
“I am so thankful to Viva and N2 Productions,” she said. “Salamat nang marami for giving me the chance, for giving me the break, a very good break.
“Sa edad kong ito, pinagkatiwalaan ninyo ako, maraming salamat.
“Thank you talaga for the support, for watching the movie, for all the applause, ‘yung magaganda ninyong sinasabi.
“We really tried our best na mabuo nang maganda ang pelikulang ito. This is for the Filipino people, this is for the Philippines.
“May aral kasi. We celebrate Mother’s Day pero ‘yung grandmother, ngayon ko na lang na-realize how important ang isang grandmother, ‘yung sakripisyo ng isang lola,” ang sabi ni Nova na tila nakalimutan na ipinagdiriwang sa Filipinas at sa iba’t ibang bansa ang National Grandparents Day tuwing ikalawang Linggo ng September.
Anyway, hindi pa man nag-o-open sa mga sinehan ang Miss Granny, all out na si Miss Nova sa pagkampanya sa kanyang co-stars sa Pepito Manaloto at Inday Will Always Love You, na panoorin ang kanilang pelikula dahil maganda ito.
Hindi naman nasayang ang kanyang pag-iimbita dahil pinanood naman ng kanyang mga kasamahan sa Pepito Manaloto at Inday Will Always Love You ang Miss Granny.
And with that, ito po ang Kuya Pete ninyo na nagsasabing, Christopher, my son, I love you very, very much, my love for you goes beyond eternity.
Adios. Mabalos. I always need you, Nhong!
