Ceasefire idedeklara ng CPP/NPA

MAGDEDEKLARA ano mang oras ng tigil-putukan ang Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) upang lalong palakasin ang negosasyong pangkapayapaan na magsisimula bukas sa Oslo, Norway.

“To further boost peace negotiations, the CPP is set to issue over the next few days a unilateral declaration of ceasefire to the New People’s Army and the people’s militias,” anang CPP sa isang kalatas kahapon.

Giit ng CPP, ipagpapatuloy nila ang pakikibaka at alyansa sa rehimeng Duterte kasabay nang kinakaharap na pang-araw-araw na problema ng kawalan ng trabaho at lupa, pagtaas ng presyo ng bilihin, mababang suweldo, militarisasyon at iba pa.

“The CPP foresees continuing struggle and alliance with the Duterte regime as the Filipino people are confronted daily with problems of joblessness, landlessness, rising costs of living, low wages and income, militarization and so on,” anang CPP.

Umaasa ang CPP na ang magkatuwang na pagsusumikap ng kilusang komunista at gobyernong Duterte ay magpapasigla sa peace talks at maiigpawan ang mga usapin na saklaw nito hanggang maresolba.

Sa kanyang talumpati sa harap ng mga sundalo sa Camp Siongco sa Cotabato City kahapon, hinimok sila ng Pangulo na makiisa sa pagsusulong ng kapayapaan upang mamuhay sa isang lipunang maunlad at tahimik ang susunod na henerasyon.

“Kayo, half of your life has been in the field in the battle ‘yung usual hurt historical hurt ng organization ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) fighting the enemy but somehow you should find space in your heart at least to accommodate baka sakali makapag- usap tayo mabuti may kapayapaan. You must remember your understanding will bridge peace between our generation now and generation na susunod, ‘yun anak natin, alam ko medyo peace talks mahirap ‘yan pero for all you know anak mo…it could be similar to our brothers who adopted same ideological (?) Di mo masabi apo mo our job is to bridge mayari natin ito, maplantasa ito, ‘yung kinabukasan… its good enough for everybody,” sabi ng Pangulo.

Nauna nang nagpasalamat si CPP founding chairman Jose Ma. Sison kay Duterte dahil sa pagpapalaya sa mga political detainee na lalahok sa peace talks sa Oslo mula Agosto 20-27.
