Presyo ng shabu tumaas, supply tumumal — Palasyo

TUMAAS ang presyo ng shabu at naging matumal ang supply sa merkado dahil epektibo ang kampanya ng administrasyong Duterte laban sa illegal drugs.

Ito ang tugon ni  Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo sa pahayag ng Amnesty International (AI) na ang “shoot to kill order” at shame campaign ni Pangulong Duterte kaugnay sa illegal drugs ay hindi lang paglabag sa pundamental na karapatan at imbes maibalik ang peace and order ay lalong lumala ang paglabag sa batas.

“It’s succeeding, why the moment he mention these names, the drug operations stop suddenly, cost of shabu skyrocket. Hirap na hirap na sila, natakot na,” ani Panelo kaugnay sa kritisismo ng AI sa administrasyong Duterte.

Nababahala aniya ang Amerika sa mga ulat hinggil sa extrajudicial killings  ng mga  sangkot sa illegal drugs sa bansa kaya hinihikayat ang Filipinas na tiyakin na ang pagpapatupad ng batas ay alinsunod sa mga obligasyon sa karapatang pantao.

“Our bilateral relationship with the Philippines is broad-ranging from law enforcement to trade and development cooperation, and counts on vibrant and undeniably strong people-to-people and societal ties. The U.S.-Philippine relationship, one of our most important in the Asia Pacific, has withstood the test of time,” sabi ng Embahada.
