‘I’m going to win’ —Mayweather

AYON kay Floyd Mayweather Jr., may limang paraan para talunin ang Pambansang Kamao na si Manny Pacquiao.

“There’s no way to beat me,” pahayag ng unbeaten pound-for-pound champion ng Estados Unidos. “(I’ll) choose the weight class, put him in front of me, I’ll beat him.

Ganito rin umano ang magiging mentalidad niya, dagdag ni Mayweather. “Put him in front of me, I’ll beat him.”

Binigyang rekognisyon din nito ang naunang mga kampeon sa boxing, tulad nina Sugar Ray Leonard at Muhammad Ali.

“I’m gonna respect those guys because these are the guys that paved the way (for me) to be where I’m at. But for me, to give a sport my whole life… to say there’s someone better than me, absolutely not,” aniya.

Ikinatuwa ni Mayweather ang unang pahayag ni Pacquiao na mas naging balisa at nangamba ang Pinoy ring icon nang kaharapin si ‘Golden Boy’ Oscar De La Hoya, ‘El Junito’ Miguel Cotto at ‘El Tornado’ Antonio Margarito kaysa susunod niyang superfight sa MGM Grand Garden Arena sa Las Vegas sa Mayo 3.

“I’m glad,” dagdag ni Mayweather. “I want him to approach (the fight) just like that. Because the same motherf– that kicked his ass (Juan Manuel) Marquez? You seen what I did to him.

“I want him to approach it like he’s not nervous.”

Matatandaang pinabagsak ni Marquez ang People’s Champ nang walang pakundangang sinalubong ng eight-division champion sa kanang kamay ni ‘Dinamita’ patungo sa pagwawakas ng ika-6 na round noong 2012.

Sa kabilang dako, nagawang paluhurin ni Mayweather ang Mexican legend sa pagwawagi rito sa loob ng 12 rounds.

Ito umano ang gagamitin ni Mayweather para talunin si Pacman. “He tends to be careless sometimes, a flaw I plan to exploit,” aniya.”I’m going to win on May 2, I’m going to win.”
