According to Tzu Chi volunteer Will Jen (in grey uniform) it was the first time that the distilling units were placed in disaster sites such as Tacloban City. A single portable machine can purify five tons of water in a day be-nefitting 2,500 people. It would usually take less than an hour to complete the purification process. It purifies dirty water using the la-test state-of-the-art technology.
