NANINIWALA si Richard Reynoso na dapat saluduhan sina Brother Eli Soriano at Kuya Daniel Razon sa kanilang proyektong UNTV’s A Song of Praise (ASOP) Music Festival na grand finals ng ngayon, November 7, 7 pm sa Araneta Coliseum.
“Dapat po talagang saluduhan sila, kasi sila naman po ang nakaisip nito. Wala na pong nakaisip pa ng iba, kahit siguro ibang competition, taon-taon po ginagawa ito. Pero eto pong competition, lingo-linggo na po ginagawa, may grand finals night pa. So, wala nang makakaisip pa nito, napakahirap… na mayroon pang nagawang ganito na ibibigay lang ng libre eh (yung mga CD),” saad sa amin ni Richard.
Iyong iba, pinagkakaperahan ang ganito, pero iba sa UNTV dahil libre lang ang mga CD at ipinamimigay nyo talaga, di ba? “Opo, opo, you have to walk the talk, kung hindi e syempre unang-unang masisilip kami. I mean imagine, they have the means, kaya naman nila eh, kaya naman nila gumawa niyan mag-isa. Like I said they’ve been doing these for years, but what did they do, noong ginawa nila sa TV, they asked me, they asked Toni Rose to host it.
“We’re not part of the church… they got jugdges that’s not even part of the church. Para talaga makuha natin yung pinakamagaling, kaya kahit talaga mga Muslim, kinukuha namin. Kung kaya ninyong lumaban, puwede. Pasok lang kayo, kasi naniniwala po tayo na iisa lang naman yung Diyos natin, kahit ano pang pangalan yan, iba-iba man ang pangalan, iba iba man ang ideology, iisa lamang po ang Diyos natin na gumagabay sa atin.”
Masasabi mo ba na itong ASOP ay tatak UNTV talaga? “Opo, talagang tatak UNTV itong ASOP. Kaya we are just so happy, that in the Star Awards for TV, we were awarded talent show program last year,” saad pni Richard.

Labingdalawang Songs of Praise ang magtatagisan para sa Song of the Year award na ang mananalo ay tatanggap ng kalahating milyon piso. Ang mga awiting ito ay galing sa monthly winners na nagsimula noong November 2015. Ang grand champion dito ay tatanggap ng P500,000 cash prize, samantalang ang non-winning entries ay makakakuha ang bawat isa ng P20,000. Ang Best Interpreter Award at ang People’s Choice Award ay kapwa tatanggap ng P50,000.
