Teddy ‘Boy’ Locsin ambassador to UN (Pantapat sa batikos)

ISANG hard-hitting media personality ang itatapat ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa mga pagbatikos ng United Nations (UN) sa isinusulong na drug war ng kanyang administrasyon.

Itinalaga ni Pangulong Duterte ang abogado, dating press secretary, Makati City Rep., at media personality Teddy Boy Locsin Jr. bilang bagong Philippine ambassador to the United Nations.

Sinabi kahapon ni Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, kinompirma sa kanya ni Locsin kamakalawa ng gabi na tinanggap niya ang alok ni Pangulong Duterte na maging ambassador ng Filipinas sa UN nang mag-usap sila sa Bahay Pangarap.

“The former Cong. Teddy Boy Locsin and I were in touch again last night and he said they indeed met at Bahay Pangarap. Cong Locsin said he accepted the position as UN Ambassador,” ani Andanar.

Maglalabas aniya ng opisyal na pahayag si Locsin sa kanyang pagbabalik mula sa ibang bansa bukas.

“The President and former Cong. Teddy Boy Locsin had a talk. Cong. Locsin told me he would release a statement once he returned from an overseas trip next Tuesday,” sabi ni Andanar.

Papalitan ni Locsin si Philippines Permanent Representative to the UN Lourdes Yparraguirre.

Si Locsin ay sumikat sa maaanghang na komentaryo, isa sa mga host ng commentary program “#NoFilter”, segment anchor sa “The World Tonight” sa ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) at kolumnista sa pahayagang Business Mirror.

Siyam na taon (2001-2010) na naging kongresista ng 1st District ng Makati City si Locsin.

Naging presidential speechwriter, legal counsel at press secretary si Locsin ni dating Pangulong Corazon Aquino.
