Jheorge Normandia personal ang Pinili Nyang Mahalin Ka

NAPAKA-PERSONAL ng awiting Pinili Nyang Mahalin Ka para kay Jheorge Normandia, singer-songwriter na nagmula sa Quezon City dahil ang istorya sa likod ng awitin ay naranasan niya o sarili niyang kuwento.

Ani Jheorge, “I always place myself on a dramatic perspective, internalizing the pain that I felt before and channeling it through singing. 

“‘Pinili Nyang Mahalin Ka’ is both a story and a message to the new love of our exes’ life.

“[Usually] when a person goes through separation, a lot of things build up in the head. 

“We may be able to forget and never forgive, but at the end of the painful journey, we owe it to ourselves to have the peace we deserve.”

Ang pagkanta para kay Jheorge ay natural at namana niya ang hilig sa musika sa kanyang inang professional singer na sa edad  14.  Isang Standard at Jazz singer  noong ’80s ang kanyang ina.

“Whenever she rehearses before her show, I’m always the curious one mumbling words next to her,” aniya na ang journey ng kanyang ina bilang singer ay katulad ng sa kanya.

Sa totoo lang, matagal naghintay si Jheorge hanggang sa isang araw ay may naniwala sa kanyang kakayahan bilang singer.

“For years, I was always on the production side, back up vocals and wrote few songs for other artists. 

“I started singing on Show Band when I was 15 years old and kept singing on the different platform ever since throughout these years. I am a Livestream Performer for four years now,” kuwento niya.

At nagbunga naman ang kanyang pagtyatyaga. Pero aminado siyang muntik nang bumigay.

“I already gave-up years ago, but everything happens for a reason. God did place me on this year, at this time with purpose.”

Ang director ng KDR Music House na si Adonis Tabanda ang bumilib at nag-offer sa kanya para maging kasapi ng KDR family.

Ngayon patuloy na tinutupad ni Jheorge ang kanyang layunin bilang singer-songwriter at ang mga aral sa buhay na nakasulat sa kanyang awiting Pinili Nyang Mahalin Ka .

“My experiences…  I draw my inspiration to write from what I see, from what I hear, and what I feel. 

“And I am sharing this with everyone who might be going through the same emotions that I had through my song—’Pinili Nyang Mahalin Ka’.”
