Taon 2018 nang gawan ng kanta ng VAA singer-actress-songwriter na si Marion Aunor si Sharon Cuneta, may titulong Lantern na included sa Megastar album.
Ang pakiramdam ni Marion ay napaka-lucky niya at ang composition niyang iyon ay ini-record ni Sharon. She’s not expecting also na makasasama niya pala ang megastar sa comeback movie nitong Reverginized under Viva Films.
“I wrote her a song called Lantern, back in 2018 for her Megastar album. Whenever people ask me who I’ve written for always rave about how I’ve been lucky enough to have her interpret one of my original compositions,” say ni Marion nang amin siyang ma—interview via chat.
Dagdag niya, “So it feels awesome finally getting to meet her and actually getting to act alongside her in latest movie called Revirginized.
Nang kumustahin namin ang experience ng multi-talented daughter (Marion) ni Ma’am Maribel during the filming of their movie at paano katrabaho si Sharon Cuneta ay heto ang kanyang naging tugon sa amin:
“She (Shawie) is a joy to be around and one of
the sweetest and kindest people I’ve ever met. On set she makes everyone feel welcome and at ease. It definitely took the pressure off for me since she’d always make us laugh and share stories about her life.”
Ang ikinataba ng puso ni Marion: “She even sang a snippet of my song right in front of me as soon I introduced myself and her actually remembering how the song goes and saying it was one of her favorites in her album really meant a lot to me.
“Hopefully I get to write more songs for her or even be a part of her future films again. Overall the whole experience with her has been a blessing,” masaya pang kuwento ni Marion sa naging encounter niya with the one and only megastar.
At may bonus pa dahil gusto ng director nila sa movie na si Darryl Yap na siya ang kumanta ng theme song ng Revirginized. Pagdating kasi sa pagkanta ng movie theme songs sa Viva Films ay isa si Marion sa pinagkakatiwalaan ng management dahil patok ang lahat ang mga ginawa niyang theme song.
Supposedly kung pumuwede lang, ang Lantern ang gagamiting theme song sa movie ni mega kaso bawal pala sa Subic ang magpalipad ng lantern kaya gagawa na lang ng iba at wish ni Marion ay maihabol pa.
Matagal na palang bilib si Direk Darryl kay Marion sa katunayan ay ginamit niya sa isang series niya na Sakristan ang dalawa sa sikat na kanta ni Marion na Delikado at Akala.
