Senator Lito Lapid, hindi puwedeng iwanan, ang show business!

A man of few words, matitipid ang kasagutan ni Senator Lito Lapid sa mga katanungan sa kanya ng working press sa kanyang thanksgiving lunch that was held in Max’s restaurant in Quezon City last Monday afternoon.

Mas gusto raw kasi niyang mag-enjoy at huwag magtrabaho ang entertainment press sa kanyang ipinatawag na thanksgiving lunch.

When asked about Ysabel Ortega’s showbiz career, the lady is his lovechild with lovely Michelle Ortega, ito ang matipid na kasagutan ng senador: “Well, noon pa naman nag-aartista ‘yan, matagal na. Okey naman. Lumipat na yata siya sa GMA-7.”

Lito refused to comment about Michelle since she already has a family of her own.

When someone mentioned about ABS-CBN franchise renewal which is to expire on March 2020, Lito was full of compassion.

“Kawawa naman. Huwag naman, marami ang mawawalan ng trabaho.

“Basta, magdasal na lang tayo. Sana, walang mawawalan ng trabaho.

“Masyadong sensitive (ang issue), lalo na ako, isa ako sa mga magdedesisyon, daraan sa amin yun.”

Anyway, well attended ang thanksgiving lunch na ibinigay ni Senator Lito Lapid para personal na pasalamatan ang entertainment press who have always been most supportive of both his showbiz and political careers.

Seryosong sinabi ni Lito na kung hindi dahil sa showbiz, hindi magkakaroon nang katuparan ang lahat ng kanyang mga pangarap sa buhay.

“Ang politika, puwedeng iwanan, ang showbiz hindi,” he said matter of factly. “Hindi naman ako magiging politiko kung hindi sa showbiz,” he added in obvious recollection of his colorful past.
