Bati ng Palasyo: Congrats Miss France, good job Miss Phililippines

MAINIT ang pagbati ng Malacañang kay Miss France Iris Mittenaere, bilang bagong Miss Universe.

Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella, labis ang kasiyahan at pagdiriwang ngayon ng mamamayan ng France, at maituturing na “proud moment” ito ng kanilang bansa.

Ayon kay Abella, hindi lamang napanalunan ni Iris ang desisyon ng judges, kundi maging ang pagmamahal ng buong mundo.

Kasabay nito, binati rin ni Abella si Miss Philippines Maria Mika Maxine Medina, napabilang sa Top 6, at sinabing maga-ling ang representasyon sa Filipinas sa international scene.

“Congratulations to the new Miss Universe, Iris Mittenaere of France. People of France are rejoicing. Truly, this is a proud moment for their country. Iris brought tremendous joy to her people by representing France well on the international stage with her winning grace, regal bearing and inspiring answer. She has won not only the nod of the judges but the affection of the entire world as well. We likewise congratulate Maria Mika Maxine Medina for making it to the Top 6. She represented the Philippines well in the international scene. Our best wishes to the 65th Miss Universe,” ani Abella.
