Kris, malaking asset sa TV5 — Chot Reyes

HINDI ikinaila ng bagong presidente at CEO ng TV5 na si Chot Reyes na malaking asset si Kris Aquino sakaling gustuhin nitong lumipat sa Kapatid Network.

“Definitely, she will be an asset, but we will have to weigh up against the cost,”  anito sa thanksgiving lunch kahapon sa Annabelle’s Restaurant.

Bago ito, marami ang nag-akalang lilipat si Tetay sa TV5 dahil sa network na ito ipinalabas ang Go Negosyo summit. “Kasi noong ipinost yung Go Negosyo poster, nakalagay doon ang TV5, kaya siguro nag-assumed ang tao.

“I think na-misunderstand lang ng mga tao.” At sinabing nag-uusap naman daw sila ni Kris dahil magkakilala na sila noon pa.

Brillante Mendoza, content partner ng TV5 sa pagbabago

Masaya ring ibinalita ni Reyes, na magiging content partner nila sa malaking pagbabago si Direk Brillante Mendoza.

Aniya, magiging produktibo ang TV5 dahil sa mga bago nilang inihandang local content katulad ng monthly special na ididirehe ni Mendoza. Sa Pebrero naman ay ieere na ang bagong show ni Derek Ramsay at ipalalabas din nila ang mga US series na Super Girl at Breaking Bad.

“With the different look, with the different field, ‘yun ang hinahanap namin. We really want to talk to a different audience, in a different younger market starting 2017,” ani Reyes.

Sinabi pa ni Reyes na excited ang TV at masaya sa pakikipag-partner kay Mendoza. “He’s going to do a monthly short film once a month, depending on the month the story revolves around of the particular month. For January for example it’s going to be a story set on Chinese New Year. Then on February, a story about Baguio, the Panagbenga, then March is all about school year and so on and so forth. On the way to November and December.

“Aside from that, he’s going to do a 13-part mini-series. It is something that we view to see on TV5. On top of that monthly telemovie of Brillante, we will also have a 13-part miniseries by Brillante.

“Aside from that, we have a partnership for theatrical…theater, for actual full length movies. It is a full pledge content partnership with Brillante.”

Iginiit pa ni Reyes na napili nilang makipag-partner kay Mendoza dahil nais nilang ipahatid ang kanilang mensahe na sila ang home ng indie film, indie film makers, o ng story teller o producer.

“That’s the very strong message that we want to send out, that’s why we have this partnership with Brillante.”

Pageant Night, Swimsuit Competition at Long Gown sa Miss Universe 2017, ieere sa TV5

Ukol naman sa Miss Universe 2017, nakipag-partner din ang TV5 sa Solar at sa organizer nito. Kaya naman asahang mapapanood sa Kapatid Network ang Pageant Night nito na ieere sa January 30, 8:00 a.m..

“But on top of that we had the exclusive rights to air the Swimsuit Competition on January 27, the Long Gown competition on Jan 29. That’s exclusive to TV5.

“We had also the digital rights even on the Pageant Night. All of the digital rights of Miss Universe is with TV5. So ‘yung mga behind the scene, mga scene na hindi nakikita sa television, your going to see on our online TV5 studio, online flat form.

“That’s something different that we can offer to the Filipino viewing public. The combination of the free airing as well as the digital content that we will produce in the Miss Universe,” paliwanag pa ni Reyes.

Hindi naman kasama sa ipalalabas o nakuhang rights ng TV5 ang pag-eere ng National Costume.

Derek, sa TV5 pa rin

Ibinalita rin ni Reyes na talent pa rin nila ang actor na si Derek Ramsay.

“He will see very very soon, in one of the show on TV5. He’s going to be there…a big show in a very early month, siguro by February magsisimula.”

Posible rin daw ibalik ang mga show na nag-click sa TV5 noon tulad ng Talentadong Pinoy at Face To Face. Subalit nais muna nilang tiyakin na kikita ito.

“The problem was, nag-click sila pero hindi kumikita. We have to figure out a way for them to make money. That’s why ‘yun ang mga issue that were facing. We will make sure that we are profitable or that we create or put up shows that have a big chance not only in ratings but in money making. ‘Yun ang mga consideration namin.”

Mga show, pre-sold na

Nabanggit pa ni Reyes na ang mga ipalalabas o mapapanood na show sa TV5 ay pawang mga presold na.

“The Brillante Mendoza is already presold. Pati ‘yung nakita n’yong shows sa sports or sa Gillas, pre sold lahat ‘yun.”

Ukol naman sa pagdiskubre ng mga bagong talent. Sinabi ni Reyes na gagawin pa rin nila ito sa pamamagitan ng pakikipag-partner sa mga director.

“Instead of finding stars, were doing the other way. We’re going behind the camera with the filmmaking or storyteller. Doon makahahanap ng new actors, talents, etc.”

Sa huli, bagamat iginiit ni Reyes na hindi sila nakatitiyak sa mga pagbabagong gagawin sa Kapatid Network, nais nilang makapaghatid ng kakaibang putahe sa audience.

“If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work, kinuha ako para magtrabaho. We are doing something different, na hopefully magki-click.”

Sari-Sari Channel may mga bagong handog ngayong 2017

ISANG malaking pagbabago ang ihahandog ng Sari-Sari Channel ng Cignal TV sa patuloy na pagbibigay ng momentum sa mga manonood. Nariyan ang Ha-Pi House, Red Envelope, Class 3C Has a Secret 2, at iba pa.
