Taguig LGU pinuri ng WHO at nat’l gov’t sa epektibong vaccination rollout

PINURI ng pinuno ng World Health Organization (WHO) Philippine office at ng national government ang liderato ng lngsod ng Taguig dahil sa mahusay nitong vaccination rollout ng mahigit 7,020 bakuna na kanilang tinanggap mula sa Pfizer-BioNTech sa pamamagitan ng COVAX facility.

Ang kauna-unahang Pfizer vaccination ay ginanap sa Taguig nitong nakaraang 13 May 021 sa Lakeshore Mega Vaccination Hub ng lungsod.

Partikular na pinuri ni Dr. Rabindra Abeyasinghe, head ng WHO Philippine Office ang masinsin pero malawaka na preapasyon ng lungsod upang maipatupad nang maayos ang vaccination rollout.

Ikinagalak ni Dr. Abeyasinghe ang pagkakaroon ng Taguig ng isang training center, kung saan nagsanay ng wastong paghawak sa bakuna ang medical experts at medical practitioners.

Pinuri nito ang mahusay na proseso na ipinatupad ng Taguig upang masiguro na masusunod ang priority list ng national government sa vaccine rollout sa bansa.

“Mr. Mayor, sincere thanks for your leadership,” ayon kay Dr. Abeyasinghe.

Nagpahayag ng kanyang positibong opinyon si CoVid-19 response chief implementer and vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr., kasabay ng pagpuri kay Mayor Lino Cayetano dahil sa mga makabagong hakbang nito para ipatupad ang vaccination rollout.

“I would like to thank Mayor Lino. Alam ninyo ‘pag laging pumupunta kami rito, laging may bago,” pahayag ni Sec. Galvez.

Kamakailan ay inilunsad ng Taguig ang Park ‘N Test at vaccination bus na iikot sa lugar ng mga gustong magpabakuna na hindi kakayaning magpunta sa mga vaccination hubs ng lungsod.

“We are encouraged by what we see. We are very happy to report that to our COVAX partners as we move towards mobilizing additional vaccines for the Philippines,” dagdag ni Dr. Abeyasinghe.
Kaugnay nito, hinikayat ni Dr. Abeyasinghe, ang iba pang lungsod at bayan sa bansa na gayahin ang mga prosesong ipinatutupad ng Taguig sa vaccination rollout.

“It is commendable, and we salute your leadership and initiative. As we roll out the vaccines, we need local government ownership. We need a partnership with key partners on the ground. So let us all come together, cooperate and work together to ensure that the people of Taguig and the people of the Philippines are protected, and we can heal as one in this nation,” ayon kay Dr. Abeyasinghe.

Tiniyak ni Mayor Cayetano na sisiguruhin nila ang pangangalaga sa bakuna upang ligtas at mabilis itong maiturok sa mga residente.

“We will try to reach every corner of our city.
For the part of the LGU in the National Capital Region, the cities are ready whether it’s Pfizer with certain cold storage handling particularities or Gamaleya or AstraZeneca or the other various vaccines that we receive through the COVAX facility,” paggarantiya ni Cayetano.
Ang symbolic Pfizer vaccination sa Taguig ay dinaluhan nina testing czar Secretary Vince Dizon, Health Assistant Secretary Elmer Punzalan, Metro Manila Centers for Health Development Director Gloria Balboa, representatives mula sa United Nations International Children’s Fund (UNICEF), at representatives mula sa United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Ang mahigit 193,000 vials ng Pfizer vaccine ay dumating sa bansa noong 10 May 2021.

Ito ang pang-apat na bakuna na dumating sa bansa laban sa CoVid-19 kasunod ng Sinovac, AstraZeneca at Gamaleya.
