Senado wala nang mapipiga sa Mamasapano probe — Palasyo

DUDA ang Palasyo na may mapipiga pa ang Senado na bagong ebidensya sa pagbubukas muli ng imbestigasyon sa Mamasapano incident.

Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Edwin Lacierda, sa pagkakaalam ng Malacañang, lahat ng mga ebidensya at testimonya hinggil sa insidente ay nailabas na sa ginanap na mga imbestigasyon ng Senado, Mababang Kapulungan , Philippine National Police (PNP), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), International Monitoring Team (IMT) at Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

“We really don’t know kung ano talaga ang sinabi ni Senator Juan Ponce Enrile — correct me if I’m wrong — na possible “new evidence.” We really don’t know. As far as we are concerned, as far as the… The testimonies have all been put out, have been forthright, so hindi namin alam kung ano pang bagong mailalabas. So we will just have to wait and see. Hindi namin alam. There’s nothing that we can comment right now until the investigation has been reopened,” ani Lacierda.

Ayaw rin aniya ng Palasyo na pagdudahan ang motibo ng mga senador na muling imbestigahan ang madugong insidente na ikinamatay ng 44 Special Action Force (SAF) commandos at mga sibilyan noong Enero 2015.

“We do not wish to impute any motivation on the reopening. Senator Grace Poe already has— parang may report na yatang ginawa, ‘di ba, pero hindi lang yata navo-vote on the floor of the Senate? So we do not wish to impute any motivation on this,” dagdag ni Lacierda.
