MAMU’S star! It so happens Allysa de Real is also my inaanak sa binyag!
And she will be part of Starstruck!
For starters, I asked Allysa to answer a few questions I posted on a private messagr on her FB account.
“I joined ‘Starstruck because I wanted to create a name for myself without my father’s help. Hindi niya po kasi alam that I auditioned for ‘ Starstruck’. Ang akala pa nga niya noong nag text ang ‘Starstruck’ for callbacks ang basa pa niya Starbucks. Hahahaha! Ayoko po kasi ng competitions kasi nakaka-pressure. Pero rito rin pala ako magsisimula. Haha!
“Sobrang laki po ng epekto ng pagiging nasa showbuz industry po ng daddy ko. Dagdag pressure actually. Haha And ina-assume po lagi na more on comedy acting ako ‘coz of him. Hahaha malaki po impact sa akin na lumaki ako na exposed ako agad sa industriyang ito. Nakita ko paano trumabaho daddy ko especially na more on stage shows po siya and sa script.”
Her idols. Ang peg niya.
“Sa foreign, Meryl Streep po. Very versatile. Bawat role/character niya ay tatatak po sa tao at malalayo ang pag-build up niya sa characters niya. Sobrang pinag-aaralan po niya ang mga role na pino-portray niya.
Sa local, Nora Aunor po. Si Nora Aunor ‘yung artistang mata pa lang kita mo na ang emotions. Kahit hindi na magsalita or gumalaw ng gumalaw ang katawan. Iba po ‘yung kahit wala kang sinasabi kita na sa mukha mo ang acting.”
Why will people choose or vote for her?
“Hindi po ako actually confident that people will like me. People nowadays expects showbiz personalities to be perfect. And obviously I’m not perfect po. I have flaws. I’m not skinny or sexy to begin with. Hahaha also not tall. But I want to be an inspiration to those people especially the youth na hindi mo kailangan maging perfect para maging artista. You just have to love and to have a passion in acting. And just love your craft and be open to improve your talents and skills. Ang showbiz ay hindi lang po para sa mga magaganda at perpektong tao. Kailangan po sa showbiz ay magaling at maganda ang attitude. Lagi pong tinuturo sa akin ng daddy ko na ang good attitude ay importante. Dahil kung magaling ka, pero pangit ang attitude mo laging may mas gagaling sa ‘yo. May papalit at papalit. ‘Pag mabait ka sa lahat lalo na sa mga katrabaho mo at sa fans mo, magtatagal ka sa industriyang ito.”
Puwede ba namang hindi ko hingan ng ilang words ang unang Mamung nakilala sa balat ng showbiz dahil sa kanyang The Library sing-along bar na si Andrew de Real?
“Ahaha! It was a surprise. I had no idea that she was joining. She only told me when she got accepted. At first, I’m not in favor coz I know she doesn’t like competition because I used to tell to try ‘The Voice’ or any other singing contest dahil ‘yun ang first love niya, but she always says no, baka raw matalo.
“Ahaha kaya nga surprise ako noong nasa ‘Starstruck’ na siya. Well, I guess she has to experience being in a competition, giving your best and hoping for the best. As a father I am more nervous than her but the only thing I could do is to support her all the way and give the best advise that I could. I always tell her that she has a father na kilala sa showbiz industry, don’t let it intimidate her ahaha!
“My best advise… Showbiz is a dirty world, always keep yourself clean ahaha I know I raised her well.”
Ang hilig tumawa ng mag-ama. But they both know showbiz is no laughing matter.
