GRP, NDFP duda na sa isa’t isa

LUBOS na nababahala ang Palasyo sa serye nang pag-atake at pandarahas na umano’y kagagawan ng New People’s Army (NPA) sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa.

Duda ni Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Jesus Dureza, posibleng ilan sa pinuno ng National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) na kasama sa peace talks ay hindi ganap na kontrolado ang mga puwersang armado o kaya’y sinasadya itong mangyari upang mapilitan bumigay  ang pamahalaang Duterte sa mga hirit nila.

“We do not wish to unnecessarily squander those gains that even saw President Duterte exercising strong political will to move the peace process forward. Either some in NDF leadership talking to the government are not in full control of their own forces on the ground or they are themselves undermining these efforts for sustainable peace, or pressuring government for certain concessions,” ani Dureza.

Paliwanag ni Dureza, ang unilateral ceasefire na idineklara ng gobyerno at NDFP ay upang umiral ang isang sitwasyon na kaayaaya sa negosasyong pangkapayapaan.

Tiniyak niya na pursigido si Pangulong Duterte na makamit ang kapayapaan ngunit dapat ay suklian din ito ng kilusang komunista .

“The President will definitely walk the extra mile for peace. But our counterparts on the other side of the peace table must also reciprocate accordingly and do the same,” ani Dureza.

“The road to peace is not smooth and easy. Let us all help to successfully traverse it,” dagdag niya.

Maglalabas ngayon ng opisyal na pahayag si Jorge “Ka Oris” Madlos, Spokesperson ng National Operational Command ng NPA hinggil sa pahayag ni Dureza.

Bago ginanap ang third round ng peace talks sa Rome, Italy nitong Enero ay inamin ng NDF na malakas ang panawagan sa kanilang hanay na itigil ang negosasyong pangkapayapaan bunsod nang pagkabigo ni Duterte na tuparin ang mga pangako sa kilusang komunista gaya nang pagpapalaya sa lahat ng detenidong politikal at paglabag sa ceasefire.

“The strong sentiment of the NDF forces on the ground and the masses in many parts of the country is for the withdrawal of the NDF unilateral ceasefire because of broken promises on the release of political prisoners and violations of the ceasefire by the government,” anang NDF sa kalatas.
