HINDI naitago ni Ana Capri ang pagkadesmaya sa takbo ng kaso niya hinggil sa reklamo niyang pananampal at sexual harassment. Kaugnay ito ng insidenteng naganap sa Palace Pool Club sa Taguig City noong April 3, na binastos siya at hinipuan ng lalakng mukhang foreigner.
Naisapubliko na ang kuha ng CCTV camera ukol insidente. Nagpatulong na rin si Ana sa NBI at nangako raw ang mga ito na tutulungan siya sa ihahaing reklamong sexual harassment and physical violence laban sa lalaki. Ngunit hanggang ngayon daw ay wala pang nangyayari sa kaso.
Nang nakausap namin si Ana last week, aminadong na-trauma ang award-winning aktres sa sinapit na sexual harassment at pananampal. Ayon pa kay Ana, nangangamba rin siya ngayon pati sa kanyang seguridad.
After almost three weeks, ramdam ang frustration kay Ana sa kanyang post sa FB. I am deeply disheartened by the fact that there are people who, even until now, refuse to reveal the identity of the person who harassed and assaulted me three weeks ago just because he is supposedly a VIP, or a guest of a VIP, of an elite club.
By allowing this assailant to roam free, we are effectively exposing our mothers, sisters and daughters to a repeated act of sexual and physical violence, which I experienced last April 3.
This case is not only about me, but about the plight of all women whose voices were buried and obscured by politics and money of powerful people protecting their financial interests.
What kind of system do we have if we cannot even obtain the mere name of this sexual predator, whose face had already been branded on live television and major publications? – Ana Capri
