NAKAMIT muli ng pamahalaang lungsod ng Navotas ang “unmodified opinion” mula sa Commission on Audit (COA) at pinananatili nito ang rekord sa loob ng magkakasunod na walong taon.
Tinanggap ni Mayor John Rey Tiangco ang COA report mula kay Percival Arlos, OIC-Supervising Auditor ng Navotas Auditing Unit.
Mula noong 2016, ang Navotas ay nakakuha ng “unmodified opinion,” bukod tanging lokal na pamahalaan sa Metro Manila na may ganoong record.
“Our 8-year streak is a testament to our transparent and honest spending of city government funds. Mindful of our limited resources, we made sure that we used every cent of our people’s money for projects and programs that would serve their best interests,” pahayag ni Tiangco.
“We thank and commend all department heads and employees who have worked hard for us to achieve this honor. May this recognition inspire us to continue to uphold the highest standards of public service,” dagdag niya.
Nagbibigay ang COA ng “unmodified opinion” sa isang pampublikong institusyon na nagpakita ng posisyon sa pananalapi, pagganap sa pananalapi at mga daloy ng salapi sa patas na paraan, alinsunod sa Philippine Public Sector Accounting Standards. (ROMMEL SALES)
