Bakuna vs COVID-19 sagot para sa ‘new normal’

TATANGGALIN ang umiiral na Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine kapag may mabibili nang gamot o bakuna laban sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19), ayon kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

 

May dalawang pharmaceutical companies ang aniya’y gumagawa ng lunas sa COVID-19 at posibleng ipagbili na ito sa susunod na buwan.

 

“I cannot mention the pharmaceutical giants. But one of them has developed an antibody. The antibody did not come from humans. They are catching up with one another. They said by May, maybe they would start to market it… if it’s already available and people are using it, I would lift it (quarantine). If you get sick, we can buy antibodies,” sabi ng Pangulo.

 

Gayonman, dahil aniya sa mahirap na bansa ang Filipinas, maaaring ang mayayamang nasyon ang mauunang makabili nito.

 

Kaugnay nito, walang ideya si IATF spokesperson at Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles sa pahayag ng Pangulo.

 

Tiniyak niya na tinatalakay sa IATF meetings ang ipatutupad na protocols sa transition period mula sa ECQ tungo sa community-based quarantine.

 

“We will identify what industries, how many percentage of workers or the work force;  transport sector, what we will do; and all of these other factors that we will allow to slowly operate, then we will set very strict and stringent guidelines on what the new normal is,” ani Nograles.

 

Kabilang aniya sa magiging bahagi ng ipatutupad na “new normal” ay  “wearing of mask, social distancing, physical distancing, personal hygiene.”
