First air cargo inspection portal pinasinayaan ng CEB at Cargohaus (Sa NAIA T3)

PINASINAYAAN ng Philippine leading carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), katuwang ang Cargohaus, ang Smiths Detection CIP-300 air cargo inspection portal, sa NAIA Terminal 3, kahapon.

Ang air cargo inspection portal ay kauna-unahan na ini-lagay sa airport sa Asia.

Ito ay priority use ng Cebu Pacific Air para sa lahat ng transhipment cargoes na ikinakarga sa international flights patungo at mula sa Manila.

Ang air cargo inspection portal ay makakaya at mai-screen up ang hanggang 9 tons ng air cargo dolleys at unit load devices (ULDs).

Ito ay pinaaandar ng low-energy X-ray source at guma-gamit ng advanced material discrimination software na nagla-labas ng high quality images na magpapakita nang detalyadong laman ng freight at bagahe.

“CEB is proud to be the first carrier to use this state-of-the-art air cargo inspection portal. Enhanced speed and accuracy of cargo inspection would greatly benefit our shippers and consignees, as we continue to operate airport-to-airport cargo delivery via our extensive route network,” pahayag ni Joey Macagga, CEB VP for Fuel and Cargo Operations.

Ang inaugural ceremony ay ginanap kahapon sa ramp area ng NAIA Terminal 3. Ito ay dinaluhan nina Cebu Pacific President & CEO Lance Gokongwei, Lina Group of Companies Chairman Alberto Lina, Cargohaus, Inc. President Rudy Fulo, NAIA Terminal 3 Manager Engineer Octavio Lina, Department of Transportation and Communications, Office for Transportation Security Director Atty. Miguel Oraa at Smiths Detection General Ma-nager Kui Meng Chia.

Sa kasalukuyan ay nagse-serbisyo ang CEB Cargo sa 34 domestic at 27 international destinations. Kinabibilangan din ng transhipments sa pamamagitan ng 21 interline global partners.

Ang CEB’s 55-strong fleet ay kinabibilangan ng 10 Airbus A319, 31 Airbus A320, 6 Airbus A330 at 8 ATR 72-500 aircraft. Sa pagitan ng2015 at 2021, ang CEB ay tatanggap ng deliver ng 7 karagdagang brand-new Airbus A320 at 30 Airbus A321neo aircraft.
