POSIBLENG maghain ng impeachment case ang magreretirong si Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon laban kay Commissioner Aimee Ferolino dahil sinadyang iantala ang paglabas ng desisyon sa disqualification case laban kay Marcos, Jr.
Ani Guanzon, hindi siya natatakot sa bantang sasampahan siya ng kasong libel kaugnay sa mga pinakawalan niyang akusasyon laban kay Ferolino.
“She should be afraid of me. I might file an impeachment case against her for violating the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act. Do not threaten me with libel suits because I was a professor of law and a practicing lawyer for more than 25 years. You can sue me,” aniya.
Binigyan diin ni Guanzon, may pera siya para tustusan ang paglilibot sa bansa upang mangampanya laban sa isang kandidato.
“I have money to go around the country and campaign against a candidate.”
Hindi na pangangalanan ni Guanzon sa ngayon ang senador na nag-iimpluwensiya kay Ferolino dahil bistado na sila ng asawa ng mambabatas.
“I will not name the senator here because his wife already knows. I was told last night that his wife already knows and then I already told the person in authority,” sabi ni Guanzon.
“It’s enough for me that his wife already knows and there’s going to be a war in his household,” dagdag niya.
Sa ‘proper forum’ tutukuyin ni Guanzon ang pangalan ng senador.
“If I will have to say it in the proper forum, I will do so. If the Senate calls me, I will do so. It’s not fair to me also to say his name here without a proper forum. Let’s do it in the Senate.”
Sa panig ni Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, bagama’t isiniwalat sa kanya ni Guanzon ang pangalan ng senador ay wala siyang personal knowledge sa isyu kaya kailangan aniyang may maghain ng pormal na reklamo upang umusad ang imbestigasyon sa Ethics Committee.
Nauna rito’y ibinulgar ni Guanzon na isang senador na mas makapangyarihan sa kanya at malapit kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang backer ni Ferolino.
Tumangging magbigay ng pahayag ang dating longtime aide ni Pangulong Duterte na si Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go at maging si Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
