MAS marami na namang pelikula ang mababalikang tanaw sa mga darating na araw!

The Notebook, The Mummy Returns, Train to Busan ipalalabas muli.

Pinayagan ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) ang muling pagpapalabas ng The Notebook, The Mummy Returns, at Train to Busan  sa mga sinehan matapos itong bigyan ng angkop na age-rating classification.

Idiniin ni MTRCB Chair and CEO Lala Sotto ang kahalagahan ng pagsunod sa classification ratings na ibinigay sa mga pelikulang ipalalabas ngayong linggo.

Karamihan kasi ay may temang horror at binigyan ng R-13 o R-18 na rating.

“Masaya kami na ipalalabas muli ang mga hit na ito at iba pang mga pelikula. Gayunman, pinapaalalahanan namin ang mga magulang na sundin ang ating ratings at gabayan ang kanilang mga anak, lalo na sa mga eksenang katatakutan at karahasan,” sabi ni Sotto.

Ang The Notebook, isang 2004 romantic drama film, ay rated R-13 at eksklusibong ipalalabas sa Ayala Malls Cinemas.

 Base ito sa nobela ni Nicholas Sparks at tampok dito sina Rachel McAdams at Ryan Gosling bilang magkasintahan noong 1940s.

“The material features passionate sex scenes, some partial nudity and mature and heavy themes, such as heartbreak, family conflict, death and dementia, that may not be suitable for audiences below 13 years of age,” sabi ng MTRCB.

Ang The Mummy Returns, isang 2001 fantasy, action, at adventure movie na pinagbibidahan nina Brendan Fraser at Rachel Weisz, ay ini-reissue rin para sa 25th anibersaryo nito at eksklusibong mapapanood sa SM Cinemas.

Binigyan ito ng Ahensiya ng PG (Parental Guidance) rating sapagkat mas maiintindihan ng mga bata ang “action/adventure spectacle featuring humorously treated fights and battle scenes” kung may parental supervision at guidance.

Ang isa pang SM Cinemas exclusive, ang Train to Busan, ay ipalalabas muli para sa 10th anibersaryo nito.

Ang 2016 South Korean horror ay rated R-13 dahil mayroon itong mature theme ng survival, sacrifice, death, fear, human selfishness at heroism.

Sabi ng MTRCB, ito ay may karahasan at katatakutan, at mild to moderate language na maaaring hindi angkop sa mga edad 13 at pababa.

Samantala, tatlong horror films ang binigyan ng R-13 at R-18 ratings at PG rating naman sa virtual reality (VR) concert ng ATEEZ, isang South Korean pop group.

Ang ATEEZ: Light the Way in Cinemas na tampok ang mga hit na kanta ng ATEEZ, ay mapapanood sa SM Cinemas.

Sabi ng MTRCB, mayroon itong “mild fantasy threat, suspenseful sequences, and dark thematic imagery involving a collapsing world, fire-engulfed landscapes, and pursuit by mysterious forces.

“While these elements are not graphic or realistic, younger audiences may require parental guidance to properly understand and contextualize the fantasy themes,”dagdag ng Ahensiya.

Ang Filipino horror na Rosario, na tampok sina Aubrey Caraan at Lance Carr, ay rated R-13.

Ang mga paglalarawan nito ng “horror, frightening scenes and occasional gore, infrequent and non-graphic depiction of violence and suffering, mature themes, moderate swear words and menacing language” ay hindi angkop sa mga edad 13 at pababa.

Ang Ice Cream Man, isang horror na pinagbibidahan ni Eli Roth, ay rated R-18 dahil sa “serial murder, psychological trauma, insanity and cannibalistic themes, all presented with a mix of horror and dark comedy.”

Ang madalas na paggamit ng strong and coarse language at ang malimit na eksena ng explicit killings, mutilation, dismemberment, severed body parts at graphic bloody injuries ay “visually explicit and disturbing” at angkop lamang sa mga nasa wastong gulang.

Ito ay may “sustained horror atmosphere featuring a deranged killer, gruesome imagery, body parts, and frightening scenes that may distress audiences not used to this genre,” dagdag pa ng Ahensiya.

Ang paglalarawan nito ng pagpatay, kidnapping, at iba pang dangerous criminal acts ng isang disturbed o possessed individual ay hindi dapat gayahin, sabi ng MTRCB.

Ang 2024 horror-thriller na Sorry, Charlie, na pinagbibidahan nina Kathleen Kenny, Marisa Brown, at Travis William Harris, ay rated R-13 dahil sa mga “depictions of horror, frightening scenes and occasional gore, infrequent and non-graphic depiction of violence and suffering, mature themes, moderate swear words and menacing language.”

Ang G o General Audience ay para sa lahat ng edad. Sa PG o Parental Guidance, kailangang may kasamang magulang o guardian ang batang manonood.

Ang R-13 ay para sa edad 13 at pataas, samantalang ang R-16 ay sa edad 16 at pataas. Ang R-18 naman ay sa mga nasa wastong edad lamang.
