Lebron malabong manatili sa  Lakers

UMAASA ang Los Angeles Lakers na pipirma ng ‘contract extension’ si LeBron James  bago pa lumarga  ang 2022 free agency.

Ayon sa report ni Eric Pincus ng Bleacher Report, umaasa ang Lakers na mapapirma si James bago pa magsimula ang free agency.

“The Lakers were paralyzed at the trade deadline without clarity from James, and they remain so,” report ni  Pincus. “The star forward is eligible for an extension on August 4, but most of the team’s moves will need to happen in June and July.

“The Lakers are stuck without a commitment from James, whose contract expires after the 2022-23 season. Competing executives and agents do not expect the team to get clarity from James ahead of the draft and free agency.”

Si James ay pumirma sa Lakers bilang free agent nung 2018 at tinulungan niya ang team para manalo ng NBA title nung 2020.   Ang sumunod niyang tatlong seasons sa Lakers ay hindi naging maganda para sa kanya dahil inalat siya sa mga tinamong injuries at dalawang beses hindi umabot sa playoffs ang team.

Karaniwan, ang isang manlalaro na nasa edad 38 ay hirap nang makakuha ng magandang deal.  Pero iba ang superstar na patuloy sa pagiging consistent sa paglista ng magagandang  numero sa lahat ng aspeto ng laro para pag-agawan ng mga teams.
