AND the Yahoo Celebrity Awards’ Male Emerging Star (hindi ba dapat Emerging Male Star?) is…JC de Vera!

Ang female counterpart ni JC ay si Julia Barretto who, in fairness, is most deserving of the award based on its primordial meaning. Pero para tanghaling “emerging” si JC is not only a big insult to him as an actor who has spent several years in showbiz, kundi isang malaking sampal din ‘yon sa GMA at TV5.

So, ibig palang sabihin, JC hardly made a dent noong mga panahong Kapuso siya until he chose to be Kapatid, and it wasn’t until he became Kapamilya did he practically exist? Or shall we aptly say, emerge?

Ano ba ang pamantayan ng YCA sa pagpili ng kanilang mga pinapanalo? Was the selection process based on thorough research into the celebrities’ careers and their accomplishments?

While the CCP and NCCA have unanimously chosen Nora Aunor as the most deserving recipient of the National Artist award, here’s a virtually run off-the-mill award-giving body na basta pili na lang ng pili, mairaos lang yata ang kanilang seremonya.
