PASABOG ang docu-film ni Colonel Hansel Marantan na pinamagatang Sa Likod Ng Tsapa: The Story of Colonel Hansel Marantan na ipalalabas sa mga sinehan sa August 13.
Si Colonel Marantan ay dating pinuno ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG/NCR).
Siya ngayon ang Acting City Director ng Davao City Police Office (DCPO).
Ang executive producer ng pelikula ay si Edith Caduaya.
Si Ms. Edith naman ang may-ari ng Pop Movie House Newsline Philippine Corporation na isang Davao-based news site.
Sa tanong kay Col. Marantan kung bakit dapat panoorin ang documentary ng buhay niya, anito,
“Mga kababayan ko, dapat panoorin niyo ‘yang pelikula na ‘yan dahil totoo po ‘yan.
“It’s pure. It’s a pure story. Wala hong kasinungalingan diyan.
“In fact, kulang pa nga ho ‘yan and it’s a homegrown talent. Pure policemen ang umakto riyan, para mai-portray ‘yung totoong nangyari, as much as possible.
“It may not be perfect as it was and as it were. But we tried and we attempted to do the best way that we could.
“Borrowing the statement of our producer, hindi ‘yan perfect but it’s the best that we can offer. ‘Yung iba po, you see that for yourselves na pinaghirapan mo talaga ‘yung movie na ‘yan.
“Para sa inyo iyan. Para malaman niyo, you will support the policemen, na hindi naman kaaway ‘yung mga pulis po, eh.
“Mga katulong sa pagpapalaganap ng kapayapaan sa ating bayan,” pahayag ni Col. Marantan.
Kuwento pa ni Col. Marantan tungkol sa naging interes ng kanyang producer sa life story niya.
“And then, for some reasons na gusto niyang mag-stay for a while sa Manila and then sabi ko, ‘Kung gusto mo, punta kayo sa Quezon, maganda ‘yung Villa Escudero.
“You might as well take this opportunity makita niya ‘yung ganda ng Quezon Province. I live there and then, siguro naalala niya Atimonan, kasi nabasa naman na niya ‘yung materials about me and Quezon.
“Suddenly, she became interested of Quezon, particularly sa Atimonan and they went there, bagyo pa nga noon eh, pumunta sila. At doon na nag-start lahat ‘yung she was more into it.
“She became more aggressive now sa story about Quezon. Kasi sa Quezon, I was wounded. I got many wounds but ang dami kong wounds na naano.
“Three gunshot wounds there eh, I have 52 metal screws in my body, 1 knee replacement, 4 spine operations, 1 impaired ear, I’m a PWD.
“So alam niya lahat ‘yun, alam niya lahat ‘yung situation na ‘yun. Physically, ‘yun pa lang, ‘yun pa lang nakikita. Alam niya na there is more, there is more, kasi nasugatan na ito, eh.”
