BINUWAG ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., ang Office of the Presidential Spokesperson at ang Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) sa bisa ng inilabas na Executive Order No. 2 na nilagdaan noong 30 Hunyo 2022.
Sa kopya ng EO No. 2 na nakuha ng HATAW D’yaryo ng Bayan, nakasaad ang kautusan na pinalitan ang pangalan ng PCOO at ibinalik sa dating taguri bilang Office of the Press Secretary at reorganization nito kasama ang attached agencies.
Habang ang Office of the Presidential Spokesperson ay tuluyang nilusaw at ang tungkulin nito bilang Tagapagsalita ng Pangulo ay iniatang sa responsibilidad ng PCOO.
Ang OPS ay magkakaroon ng walong undersecretary at walong assistant secretary na mamumuno sa Operations, Plans and Policies; Administration, Finance and Procurement; Legal Affairs; Media Accreditation and Relations; Digital Media Services; Print Media Services, and related GOCCs and attached agencies; Broadcast Media Services, and related GOCCs and attached agencies; at Special Concerns.
Nasa ilalim ng pangangasiwa ng OPS bilang attached agencies ang APO Production Unit; Bureau of Broadcast Services; Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation; National Printing Office; News and Information Bureau ; at People’s Television Network Inc.
Habang ang Radio Television Malacanang (RTVM) na dating nasa pangangasiwa ng PCOO ay inilipat sa direct supervision at control ng Presidential Management Staff (PMS).
Idinagdag sa saklaw ng Philippine Information Agency (PIA) ang Bureau of Communication Services; Freedom of Information-Program Management Office; at Good Governance Office.
Matatandaan, isa sa mga unang itinalagang miyembro ng gabinete si Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles bago ang inagurasyon ni Marcos, Jr., bilang ika-17 Pangulo ng Filipino. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
