NAAWA naman kami kay Miss Universe Canada 2020 Nova Stevens dahil bago pa nagsimula ang 69th Miss Universe ay katakot-takot na insulto at pagtawag ng kung ano-ano ang naranasan niya mula sa mga kababayan nating Pinoy.
At heto ngayong tapos na ang 69th Miss Universe na napanalunan ni Miss Mexico Andrea Meza, hindi pa rin tapos ang isyu kay Miss Canada dahil ang tanyag na Filipino designer na si Michael Cinco naman ang naglabas ng galit niya sa social media sa glam team ni Nova at nadamay siya na sinabing sinabohate niya ang kandidata ng nasabing bansa.
As expected, kung ano-ano na naman ang nabasa ni Nova sa kanyang social media account na dahilan kaya siya nag-deactivate nitong weekend. Pero dahil wala naman siyang alam sa gusot ng MGmode tean at ni Michael, naglabas na siya ng panig niya sa pamamagitan ng video.
Say ni Stevens, ”I just want to address the few that recently transpired between my team MGmode and Michael Cinco, unfortunately, I’ve been made to be involved, so I just want to clarify a few things.
“They both helped me in ways that I can’t even count. So every day I do count my blessings because of these two people, or I guess three ’cause MGmode are two people and Michael Cinco.
“Michael, I have nothing but love and gratitude towards you. You have created the most beautiful gowns I could think of. I’ve never once imagined that I would work with you because you’re Michel Cinco.
“So the fact that I was able to work with you is honestly a highlight of my career as Miss Universe Canada. So I just want you to know that, that gratitude would never be diminished no matter what. And I’ll express that gratitude publicly and privately.”
Dagdag pa, ”I really do advocate for gratitude because I really feel that gratitude is the greatest multiplier in life. The more grateful you are in life, the more life gives to you.
“So, please know that, that will never change. I will continue and will always be grateful towards you because you have been nothing but kind to me; nothing but kind.
“This really breaks my heart because I love you both so much and you both helped me in many ways that I could imagine,” emosyonal pa niyang mensahe sa Pinoy fashion designer.
Hindi rin nagustuhan ni Nova na tinawag siyang ingrate o walang utang na loob.
“2021 has been a year of so many blessings for me. Meeting my family, working with Michael Cinco shooting in the desert, how can I forget those events? How can I not be thankful?
“Working with Michael Cinco, that’s a once-in-a-lifetime. Not everyone gets that opportunity. And I will forever be grateful… So I just want you guys to stop fighting. I want this to be taken privately, I don’t think they are both deserving of this, it’s not fair for all of their hard work.
“So for all of you online, please don’t. Don’t get into the drama. It’s not worth it. Let’s not spread more negativity, let’s spread love.
“It’s so sad that I have to stop what I am doing and address this. I just want to take a few minutes away from social media and just reflect on life and figure out what my next moves are,” diin nito.
Anyway, narito ang post ni Cinco sa kanyang FB na galit siya sa glam team ni Miss Canada.
“Here is the real TRUTH TO BE TOLD…YOU and your team have been USING me for the past 3 consecutive years to dress up your candidates WITHOUT PAYING ME ANY CENTS! You don’t even pay the courier or any other charges. A SIMPLE THANK YOU NOTE FROM NOVA, YOU AND YOUR TEAM would have sufficed. But you don’t have the grace and decency to do that.
“YOU ALL ARE UNGRATEFUL, VILE and professional USERS. Next time don’t ask me or any FILIPINO designers to dress up your candidates. Ask your Canadian designers to showcase your works on the world stage…I DON’T NEED YOU in my career.
“Dressing up your candidates WILL NOT HELP MY BUSINESS and I was just very KIND to you coz i thought YOU ARE MY FRIEND…STOP scamming FILIPINO designers…HOW DARE YOU…SHAME ON YOU and your whole CANADIAN Team.”
