INSPIRASYON ni Jodi Sta. Maria ang anak niyang si Thirdy Lacson kung bakit pinangarap niyang balikan ang kanyang pag-aral.
She is presently enrolled in Southville International School and Colleges where she’s taking up, or finishing, rather, her BS Psychology course.
Jodi explained to the press why she wants to finish her studies.
It’s simply because she would like to set a good example to her son.
“Ayoko naman na dumating din ‘yung panahon na if I tell him, ‘Kailangan mag-aral, mag-aral ka,’ I myself parang hindi man lang ako nakapagtapos,” she said in earnest. “So, siyempre ang hirap mag-preach about something na talaga namang hindi mo ginagawa.”
Jodi was interviewed by the press right after the presscon proper of her new soap Sana Dalawa Ang Puso Ko where she’s reunited with Richard Yap on television under Star Creatives.
This is also her first team-up with Robin Padilla.
Shifting to other interesting topics, Jodi’s happy with her new extended family. Right now, her son Thirdy has a good relationship with the current girlfriend of his dad Iwa Moto.
Looking back, it would be remembered that Jodi had some bad blood with Iwa.
Nagkasundo lang sila noong 2013 nang mag-reach out si Jodi kay Iwa right after the latter gave birth to her daughter with Pampi, Mimi.
From then on, they become extremely close.
As a matter of fact, sometime last year, Thirdy celebrated his graduation together with mom Jodi and dad Pampi, tita Iwa and half sister Mimi.
Basing from their separate Instagram post, they really had a grand time that day.
“Last year ‘yun,” Jodi reminisced, “it was his graduation and parang moving up day.
Pero siyempre, you know I’m very happy na parang si Thirdy, no matter how busy he is sa school, he really puts a premium on his studies.”
At this juncture, someone commented that Iwa’s treating Thirdy as her own son.
To which Jodi commented that she’s happy raw siya sa pagmamahal ni Iwa kay Thirdy at thankful rin sa friendship ni Aileen (Iwa).
As a matter of fact, workout buddies raw sila ni Iwa.
Malaya na ngang ipinapakita nina Jodi at Iwa ang kanilang pagkakaibigan sa netizens.
Hindi man daw nag-work out ‘yung sa kanila ng daddy ni Thirdy, “pero ‘yung little family namin, ‘yung blended family namin, ‘di ba parang mas dumami pa ‘yung mga taong nagmamahal sa kanya?”
Samantala, Star Creatives is not giving a particular time element as to when their soap Sana Dalawa Ang Puso Ko is going to end.
Looking back, nakagawa lang ng isang movie si Jodi at the height of her soap with Richard Yap and that was the horror suspense thriller Maria Leonora Teresa with Zanjoe Marudo and Iza Calzado.
Is she going to accept some movie offers while she’s doing Sana Dalawa ang Puso Ko?
“About the movie, I really don’t know kung may mai-offer ang Star Creatives, ‘di ba?” she conjectured.
“Kahit paano, nandoon din naman talaga ‘yung decision ng management.
“And hindi naman sa hindi natin binibigyan ng halaga ‘yun, pero importante rin na makita natin ‘yung proyekto.
“Pag maganda naman, bakit naman hindi?”
And with that, ito po ang Kuya Pete ninyo na nagsasabing, Christopher, my son, I love you very, very much, my love for you goes beyond eternity.
