Sabi niya, “I read the whole story, and it’s a good story. And it’s not a very simple treatment. It’s not gonna be a simple treatment. It’s gonna be a bit complicated. And I like complications to the story.

“And with regards to my role, it’s kinda… I like it because I don’t talk much. There’s not much dialogue. Very limited ang dialogue and brief, but there’s a lot of nuance in the role, which I like.”

Lola Pacita lives in an island all by herself together with her daughter and she deals with her grandchildren and all things that happened in the past in that house. So she is probably a simple, old woman with a lot of complexities in the situations in the family,” pagkukuwento niya sa karakter niya sa Mantsa sa direksiyon ni Louie Ignacio.

It also deals with mental health.

“Tulad ng una naming film, ‘Sugat sa Dugo,’ which was about AIDS awareness, ‘Mantsa’ deals with mental health. Nandoon pa rin ‘yung advocacy namin.”

Bukod kay Pilar, kasama rin sa pelikula sina Gelli de Belen, Khai Flores, Shira Tweg,Miles Poblete, Janice de Belen, Snooky Serna, Lloyd Samartino, Dino Guevarra, LA Santos, Bo Bautista, Than Perez, RJ Ariar, among others.

Showing na ang pelikula sa October 9.
