CHRISTMAS in September ang peg ng selebrasyon ang inialay ni Congressman Arjo Atayde (ng 1st District ng Quezon City) sa mga miyembro ng media na karamihan ay mga kaibigan niya.

Ginanap ito nitong September 13, sa Quezon City District 1 headquarters ni Arjo sa West Avenue, QC.

Pasasalamat din ito ni Arjo para sa pagwawagi niya bilang Best Male Lead in a TV Program/Series  sa ContentAsia 2024 na ginanap sa Taipei, Taiwan para sa kanyang performance sa Cattleya Killer.

Susunod na mapapanood si Arjo sa The Bagman kasama sa unang pagkakataon si Judy Ann Santos.

Third season na ito ng TV/web series niya na Bagman noong 2019 na nagwagi siya bilang Best Actor sa Asian Academy Creative Awards noong 2020.

Katuwang ng Nathans Studios Inc. (na pag-aari ng Atayde family sa pamumuno ng ina nilang si Sylvia Sanchez at kapatid na si Ria Atayde) ang ABS-CBN International Productions, Dreamscape Entertainment, at Rein Entertainment sa producksiyon ng The Bagman.

Gaano ka ka-hands-on si Arjo sa Nathan kapag project niya ang involved?

“‘Pag Nathan po… mas hands-on na sila Ria kasi masyado na akong maraming ginagawa,” at natawa si Arjo.

Pero kapag siya na mismo ang bida, may say ba siya halimbawa sa materyal?

Lahad ni Arjo, “Definitely sila po, sila po, ‘yung sa material, sa mismong project, ‘yung material po they always trust ABS, eh.

“Hindi naman po kasi ako ano eh, I’ve always worked with whatever project. Sabi ko as long as the character makes sense, may laman, I’m happy, I can be whatever character you want under the sun, and I’ll try my best to pursue that certain…that’s the challenge, that’s the challenge that we look for as actors, definitely ‘yun. But picking the project, I just trust the process, that’s the word.

“I trust the process of the management, Tita Cory [Vidañes], Sir Carlo [Katigbak], direk Ruel [Bayani], ABS-CBN International, all the other people who have been guiding me all throughout.

“More than picking, schedule na lang po ‘yung problema ko ngayon eh, so definitely I have priorities and that’s what keeps me busy.

“But obviously ‘pag kaya po ng schedule, if they have something to present, I just jump in right away, and I’ll never say no because obviously this is one of my worlds.”

Isa pang proyekto ni Arjo soon ay ang pelikulang Moonglow ng sikat na Hollywood-based Pinay director na si Isabel Sandoval.

Isa itong 1970’s crime thriller na kinunan dito sa Maynila.

Paano sila nagkaroon ng connect ni Isabel?

Kuwento ni Arjo, “Because of Nathan, of course our production, we’ve been going out na rin in festivals, Cannes, Locarno.

“So nakilala rin namin si Isabel sa festivals and all the opportunities and connections outside and then, obviously Isabel is such a great director though.

“She is raised in the US, she is still Filipino. So of course, she wanted to go home. She was born in Cebu and she wanted to go home to her hometown, to her country, and do a film to be able to express her creativity towards Filipino culture naman tayo.

“So that’s practically what she did and I’m very much insanely privileged to be given this opportunity to do this project with her,” ang nakangiting wika pa ni Arjo.
