US$1-B utang ng PH sa SoKor iingatan vs korupsiyon (Para sa Build, Build, Build projects)

SEOUL – TINIYAK ng administrasyong Duterte sa gobyernong South Korea, hindi mapupunta sa korup­siyon ang inilaan nitong US$1-B Official Develop­ment Assistance para ipantustos sa Build, Build, Build projects.

Sa press briefing sa Imperial Palace Hotel kahapon, sinabi ni Finance Secretary Carlos Domi­nguez, hindi maaaksaya sa korupsiyon ang pera ng mga mamamayan ng South Korea.

Tungkulin aniya ng pamahalaang Duterte na maging ligtas sa katiwalian ang ipinautang na pera ng South Korea sa Filipinas at tututukan ang lahat ng proyektong tutustusan nito.

“It is our duty to make sure that those funds are safe from cor­ruption. We are moni­toring these projects carefully,” ani Domin­guez.

Giit ni Dominguez, nakalahok ang Com­mission on Audit (COA) sa pagtutuos sa lahat nang ginagasta sa nasa­bing mga proyekto.

Maging si Pangulong Duterte aniya’y hindi mangingiming sibakin ang mga opisyal na hinihi­nalang sangkot sa korupsiyon.

Sa ganitong paraan, ani Dominguez, ang mga empleyado at opisyal ng gobyerno pati ang priba­dong sektor ay mag-iingat sa paggasta sa pera ng bayan pati ang pondo mula sa taxpayers ng ibang bansa.

”We have COA involved in the audit of these projects. And the President has taken upon himself to fire people who are suspected of corrupt­ion. In this sense, the government employees as well as the private sector will be careful in the use of government funds and funds of taxpayers of other countries,” giit ni Dominguez.

Iniulat ni Dominguez, mula sa $500-M ay gina­wang $1-B ng SoKor ang ODA para sa Filipinas mula 2017 hanggang 2022.

Kabilang sa paglalaa­nan ng pondo ay US$172.64-M Cebu inter­na­tional container port project, US$50-m pro­ject facility  ng National Irrigation Adminis­tration (NIA ), US$100-M Du­ma­guete airport, US$41-M electronic receipt and invoices, at US$636-M para sa dalawa sa tatlong projects pa sa BBB.
