SUMAKABILANG buhay na ang TV at movie director na si Monti Parungao, 58, noong September 1, matapos makipaglaban sa cancer.
Ang pagpanaw ni direk Monti ay ibinahagi ng kanyang pamilya sa pamamagitan ng social media.

Komplikasyon sa colon cancer ang sinasabing dahilan ng pagpanaw ni Direk Monti. Na-diagnose ang kanyang karamdaman noong October 12, 2024.
Anang direktor nang malaman ang sakit, “I remember that I wasn’t really much surprised or shocked. It was my sister who was speechless so I decided to speak to the doctor about it by myself and he mentioned to me that my life expectancy is one year.
“That was confirmed again by another doctor around three months after. Today is October 10, 2025, almost a year after.
“I’m strong, I don’t feel it. I wouldn’t be perfectly honest if I’d say that I am not scared.I am.
“I am more scared about the people I will leave behind in case I leave,” pahayag ng direktor.
Last February, 2026, nag-post ng open letter ang direktor sa socmed bago sumailalim sa isang operasyon.
