Anak ni Papa Otek na si Abba Maurice  maraming natutunan kay Ogie Diaz

NAIMBITAHAN tayo ng aming kaibigang si Papa Otek Lopez na panoorin ang anak na si Abba Maurice sa kanilang recital ng Advance Acting Workshop sa Ogie Diaz Acting Workshop.

‘Yun ang first time namin na makapanood ng recital ng acting workshop ni Papa Ogie at kami mismo ay na-amaze sa napanood namin.

Dahil kitang-kita namin ang grabeng pagtutok ni Ogie sa kanyang mga workshopper, kaya naman halos lahat ng workshoppers ng gabing iyon ay napakahusay umarte at puwede na ngang sumabak sa mahihirap na roles na ibibigay sa kanila in the future kung papalarin sila sa showbiz.

At isa nga sa mahusay ng gabing iyon ang maganda at talented na anak ni Papa Otek na si Abba na naging memorable ang experience nang mahawakan ni Ogie sa acting workshop.

Ayon nga kay Abba, “Sobrang memorable and meaningful po ng experience ko sa Ogie Diaz Advanced Acting Workshop. Hindi lang siya basta acting workshop for me. I learned a lot about acting, pero at the same time, marami rin akong natutunan about myself.

“One of the biggest things na natutunan ko is how to be more confident and how to express my emotions naturally.

“Natutunan ko rin na acting is not just about memorizing your lines. Kailangan naiintindihan mo talaga ‘yung character, ‘yung emotions niya, and most importantly, marunong kang makinig at mag-react sa kaeksena mo,” wika ni Abba.

Dagdag pa nito, “I also learned na okay lang magkamali. Every correction is an opportunity to improve. Kailangan open ka sa criticism, willing kang matuto, and hindi ka matatakot lumabas sa comfort zone mo.”

At dahil tapos na nga ang kanilang acting workshop ay mami-miss niya ang mga ka-workshoppers na naging kaibigan na niya.

“Definitely, mami-miss ko lahat ng workshop mates ko—Emi M. Felix, Elieza Falceso, Gamaliel Jose, Chloe Marie S. Serrano, Roxane Wessels, Ken Sato, Aleya Corpuz, Samantha S. Gabucay, Fifth Parica, Ashley Nicole Somera, Seika Brianna D. Arreza, Redina Elizabeth O. Ulsano, Ian Arcas Canillas, Chloe McKay, and Wella McKay.

“Ang dami naming memories together. We learned together, laughed together, nagkamali together, and most importantly, we supported each other.

“I’m really happy because aside from learning acting, I also gained new friends. Sana kahit tapos na ang workshop, hindi matapos ‘yung friendship and support namin for each other.”

At sa kanyang magandang exprience sa workshop ay gusto nitong pasalamatan si Ogie sa dami niyang natutunan.

“First of all, thank you so much kay Mama Ogie Diaz. Thank you, Mama Ogie, for sharing your knowledge and experiences with us. Thank you for being honest with us, for correcting us, and for pushing us to become better performers.

“Thank you rin sa aming assistant coaches, Lian Lim, Tita Cora, and Tamerlane Mopia, for your patience, guidance, encouragement, and support throughout the workshops. And of course, thank you sa lahat ng workshop mates ko for making this experience extra special and memorable. 

“And special thanks to my dad, Otek Lopez, for always believing in me and supporting me every step of the way. Dad, thank you for always being there and for pushing me to follow my dreams. Your support means so much to me, and I hope I always make you proud. I love you, Dad.”

At may mga advice ni Ogie na hinding hindi  makalilimutan ni Abba.

“Marami akong natutunan kay Mama Ogie, pero isa sa pinaka-babaunin ko is never give up, always be willing to learn, and always stay humble. 

“Sa industry na ito, hindi naman lahat ng auditions or opportunities mapupunta sa atin. There will be rejections and disappointments, pero hindi ibig sabihin na susuko ka na.

“You just have to keep improving yourself and be ready when the right opportunity comes. And one thing na talagang tatandaan ko: talent is important, but attitude, discipline, respect, and professionalism are just as important.

“I’m very thankful na naging part ako ng 

Ogie Diaz Advanced Acting Workshop. Hindi lang acting skills ang maiuuwi ko, but also the confidence, friendships, memories, and life lessons that I will always carry with me.

“This workshop may be ending, but I know this is just the beginning of something bigger.”

Sa murang edad ni Abba na 13 na very versatile, marunong kumanta sumayaw, mag-host, at magaling umarte ay malayo ang mararating nito sa showbiz.
