KLINARO ni National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Melvin Matibag nitong Linggo na walang kaugnayan sa paghahanap kay Senador Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa ang posibleng pagpapatawag nila kay Nancy dela Rosa.
Ang pahayag ay kasunod ng naunang paghimok ni Senador Panfilo Lacson sa NBI na huwag ituloy ang summons, na maaaring ituring na harassment, pagpapakita ng kawalan ng kakayahan sa intelligence work, unprofessional, at trabahong-tamad.
Paliwanag ng NBI, ang layunin ng subpoena para sa maybahay ni Bato ay upang hingan ng paliwanag hinggil sa text message na ipinadala kay Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano matapos ang pag-eskapo ni Bato sa Senado.
“If that account is accurate, it raises a serious question: was the Senate shooting used as a deliberate diversion to facilitate the Senator’s departure? That is the question the NBI intends to pursue. We know that General Mao Aplasca started the shooting. That establishes his direct involvement.
