Marcos Mamay, humahataw sa larangan ng public service at sa mundo ng showbiz

SA pagtatapos ng kasalukuyang taon, si Vice Mayor Marcos Mamay ay nakapagtala ng remarkable achievements sa mundo ng politika bilang public servant at sa industriya ng entertainment.

Noong November 26, si VM Mamay ay nahalal bilang Vice President for Operations ng Vice Mayors League of the Philippines (VMLP) sa 29th National Convention nito sa Manila Hotel. Siya rin ay National Vice President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP), na nagpapakita ng kanyang mahalagang papel sa national governance at policy leadership.

Naging three-term mayor ng Nunungan, Lanao del Norte, si Mamay ang nasa likod ng mahalagang pagbabago sa municipality sa pamamnagitan ng major infrastructure projects, peace-building initiatives, at economic development, na nag-angat sa Nunungan mula sa third-class to first-class.

Bukod sa public office, tumatak rin ang kanyang pangalan sa showbiz . Ang kanyang inspirational biopic na “Mamay: A Journey to Greatness,” na pinamahalaan ni Direk Neal “Buboy” Tan ay nagpapakita ng kanyang pinagmulan mula hardship to leadership. Si Mamay ay naging Assistant Director din dito, para masiguro ang authentic portrayal ng kultura at tradisyon ng Maranao.

Ang pelikula ay sumungkit ng maraming parangal sa 73rd FAMAS Awards. Nanalo ito ng limang major honors kabilang ang Best Supporting Actor (Jeric Raval), Best Production Design, Best Musical Score, Best Original Song, at Best Cinematography.Si VM  Mamay mismo ay tumanggap two special accolades – bilang Film Producer of the Year para Mamay Productions at ang Presidential Award. Ito ay endorsed ng Department of Education at ng National Commission on Muslim Filipinos, ang pelikulang Mamay ay ipinalalabas sa mga paaralan, nationwide.

Nagpatuloy ang tagumpay ng nasabing pelikula sa theme song na “Hamon,” composed by Vehnee Saturno, produced by Mamay, and performed by Gerald Santos, nanalo ito as Indie Movie Theme Song of the Year sa 41st PMPC Star Awards for Movies. Si VM Mamay ay itinanghal din dito bilang Outstanding Producer and Media Advocate of the Year .

Si Mamay ay Executive Adviser ng Actors Guild of the Philippines, na nagbibigay-daan sa mas magandang pagkakataon sa Mindanao-based artists. Ang Mamay Productions ay nagpo-produce ng pelikula, concerts, at coffee table books. Ang upcoming projects nila ay ang “OFW, One Life to Live,” at ang “Babae sa Salamin.” Ang Mangyan-themed pelikula starring Ejay Falcon ay panibagong hakbang sa kanyang adbokasiya na I-empower ang mga artist at gumawa ng socially relevant Filipino story.

Sa pagtatapos ng taon, si Marcos Mamay ay patuloy na kinikilala sa mundo ng public service at showbiz. Sa kanyang mas malalim at bagong layunin, sasalubungin niya ang 2026 na handang maglinkod nang mas may malawak na vision, impact, at reach.
