Krisis sa transport itinanggi… 2 administrasyon sinisi ni Panelo

KASALANAN ng naka­lipas na dalawang admi­nistrasyon ang narara­nasang kalbaryo sa tra­piko sa Metro Manila.

Ito ang tugon ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo sa mga pagbatikos sa kanyang pahayag na walang mass transport crisis sa Metro Manila.

“The present traffic woes and inadequate mass transit system have been the bane of our people, more specifically those living and working in Metro Manila. These perennial problems are a carryover of two previous administrations, and inherited by the present one,” ani Panelo.

Gusto aniya ng admi­nistrasyon na tugunan ang problema sa trapiko ngunit hindi ipinagkaloob ng Kongreso ang hirit na emergency powers ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

“This Administration wanted to address the same immediately but Congress opted not to grant the President the emergency powers he asked from it at the inception of his pre­sidency to solve it,” dagdag niya.

Giit niya, ang proble­ma ngayon sa LRT at MRT ay bunga ng kapa­ba­yaan at kapalpakan ng mga nakaraang admini­strasyon.

Puspusan aniya ang ginagawa ngayon ng administrasyon para ituloy ang rehabilitasyon sa MRT at LRT pati na ang konstruksiyon ng Metro Manila Subway, MRT-7, LRT-1 Cavite Extension at PNR Clark.

Nanindigan si Panelo na walang mass transport crisis kahit na palyado ang operasyon ng MRT at LRT sa Metro Manila.

Ang krisis aniya ay pagdurusa ng mga motorista at commuters, at ang isa pang krisis ay palpak na pamamahala ng LRTs.

“The crisis is in the sufferance of commuters and motorists; while the other crisis is in the inefficient operation and maintenance of the LRTs – the crisis is in its poor management,” ani Panelo.
