SAGOT ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang lahat ng gastos ng mga rebeldeng komunista na nais bumisita sa China para makita ang paglago ng ekonomiya nito dahil sa kapitalismo.
Ang hamon ay ginawa ng Pangulo sa kanyang talumpati sa Tagum City kamakalawa ng hapon.
“Who wants to go to China? I was asking you who wants to go to China to visit. I didn’t ask who wants to become Chinese. You all want to go. Sige, go there. I’ll give you five,” aniya.
“Go to China. Isn’t that what you are following, the communists? So go to China. Look at China after they let go of communism. Look at what China is today. You will be awed. Communism for them now is just a way of running the government, of power,” dagdag niya.
Pinangunahan ni Duterte ang pamamahagi ng mga ayuda at pabahay sa mga dating miyembro ng New People’s Army (NPA) ilalim ng Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program sa Barangay Cuambogan.
Hinimok niya ang mga dating rebelde na mag-aral at maghanap ng trabaho upang makatulong sa pagpapalago at pagpapatatag ng ekonomiya ng Filipinas.
“Go back to school and work for a living. Because if you run out of food to eat and you get hungry, you will have something to say about the government again. Let’s all work hard,” sabi ng Pangulo.
Nangako ang Pangulo na magpapatayo ng mga paaralan sa mga liblib na pamayanan sa kanayunan upang hindi na kailanganin bumiyahe ang mga mamamayan, pati ang mga dating rebelde, para makapag-aral.
Giit ng Pangulo, mas makabubuting matuldukan ang rebelyon ng NPA sa kanyang termino dahil magiging mas malala ito at sakit sa ulo.
“Because if this problem hasn’t yet been resolved by the time I finish my term, it will evolve to become an ever bigger headache. And it will grow and foster. So if you have the time… I have no problem if you fools want to go back there. Just tell them that Rody says he wants to talk because if I am not able to address your concerns during my time, you will find it very difficult. Keep that in mind. So let’s reach an agreement here.
