DAPAT samantalahin ng media ang pagsisimula ng taon para magmuni-muni sa mensahe ni Pope Francis na mag-ulat din ng magagandang balita.
Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda, isang taon na ngayong Enero mula nang ibahagi ni Pope Francis sa Filipinas ang mensahe ng “mercy and compassion” nang bumisita sa bansa.
Ani Lacierda, sa Enero 24-31 ay magsisilbing host ang Cebu sa International Eucharistic Congress, o 79 taon mula nang huling ganapin ito sa bansa.
“This is an opportune time for all of us to reflect on Pope Francis’ message to the media during the holiday season – that while we live in a time of much suffering, there are also ‘so many great gestures of goodness’ to help those in need that do not necessarily get coverage, and that these must not be obscured by the arrogance of evil’,” ani Lacierda.
Makikipagtulungan aniya ang administrasyong Aquino sa media para magkaroon ng iuulat na mabubuting balita.
Sa kanyang year-end homily, sinabi ng Santo Papa na ikinalungkot niya na hindi napapaulat ang magagandang balita at hindi dapat aniya kalimutan ang mga ito.
