Dahil sa mula’t mula ay naging public servant na ito in her own way.
Ang goal: No woman, no child shall feel abandoned, helpless and distressed because the Movement of Women for Change and Reform (MELCHORA) shall be a beacon of hope, a ray of light from whom they can draw strength, courage and succor.
Lalim!
Simple! Ang pledge nila eh “Aalagaan Ka!” To love, care and protect our women and children, mayaman man o mahirap. At pangalagaan ang girl-child’s right to education and provide a haven for women victims of violence at ‘yung mga living under difficult circumstances.
Grace’s call for Unity!
“When a mother is happy they raise happy kids. Ayoko mangako. We all work. ‘Di mag-iimbita magmartsa. Mahal na ang sunblock ngayon. Walang maa-achieve ‘pag galit lagi. If you are stressed and desperate magkakasakit lang tayo. A little support for another person will go a long way!
“I’m a single parent for a long time. Proud to raise my 3 Miguel Gabrielle and Rafaelle. My legacy will be what I can give my children. Better to have broken bones that broken characters….
“For the LGBT to advocate their civil rights. There is already a bill for gender equality…there was a time I made my kids live in Castro street in San Francisco sa Amerika. So they will see and feel the life there…
“Helping is a choice…and if you go with the same journey we went through you & will feel empathy. Ang tragic is apathy. When you no longer feel for another. We should live in pursuit of happiness. Not made of first chances. May second chance. And the third chance is always a beginning. Done for the greater glory of God! I believe if we invest in our youth and women mababawasan na ang dole out. Teach them to have their own livelihood decently. They will have their self-esteem. In doing so be partners of Melchora. Before we know it we will have a better Philippines!”
