MAY point in time pala na pumasok sa kamalayan ni Project Baby male lead na si Rico Blanco na maging single forever.
Lahad niya, “There was a time where I resigned na, I knew that being single was the best thing set up for me.
“But that was a long time ago.”
Sinabi pa ni Rico sa recent guesting niya sa Fast Talk with Boy Abunda na, “And then I had a relationship after that.”
At kahit may mga relasyon siya dati na hindi nagtagal, bukas ang isip niya na ikasal someday.
“Right now, I’m single but I’m open to not being single.
“Still a possibility for me,” sabi ni Rico tungkol sa pagpapakasal.
“But I suppose it has to be with the right person because I’m at the age where I don’t have to get married.
“I understand for some people, they have to get married. Right now, I don’t have to get married so if I will get married, it has to be with the right person.”
Best lesson learned niya sa pakikipagrelasyon?
“Siguro ibigay mo pa rin lahat. Kasi kahit anong mangyari, Tito Boy, there’ll be no regrets afterwards, right?”
Hindi naman siya pini-pressure ng kanyang pamilya tungkol sa marriage.
“Maybe because they also seen I’ve been trying naman eh. It’s not like they see me not trying.
“So they’ve seen me in relationships trying each time and being broken each time it doesn’t work.”
Sensitibo siya pagdating sa pagmamahal.
“Pisces ako eh. Medyo sensitive. More sa feels. In love-bin ako eh, parang ganoon.
“Romantic ‘yung ideal ko eh. Kung paano dapat ‘yung mga bagay-bagay,” sabi pa ng Rivermaya singer.
At 53, aminado siya na marami pa rin siyang kailangang malaman when it comes to love.
“Feeling ko marami na. Pero feeling ko marami pa akong matututunan. Especially in the past few years, talagang past couple of years. Medyo nagtatanong-tanong pa rin ako.”
Natutunan din niya na may kanya-kanyang oras o priorities ang bawat tao kaya minsan ay hindi nagtatagal ang relasyon.
“I thought before that if you found someone who you really love and they really loved you too, that was enough. No. There’s other stuff like where you are in life, where the other person is in their life. And ‘yung timings niyo, ‘yung timetables, ‘yung edad mo, ‘yung edad ng tao.”
